Yesterday was another milestone for the new Coakley Middle School project with a Topping Off ceremony! A steel beam signed by a number of project staff, town and school staff and officials and CMS students was raised high and secured to the front of the building. The video included in this post will give you a good perspective as to what the ceremony consisted of! Nice work by all and we look forward to the building’s completion in September 2025!!

Tonight at 6:30 PM, a Special Town Meeting will be held at Norwood High School. The most important article on the warrant is the approval by Town Meeting of the proposed new middle school. Since the project will require borrowing, a two-thirds majority of Town Meeting members is needed. I've attached an information video on the project that provides a great summary of the next steps for this important project.
