We said a tearful goodbye to Miss Micah last night! She is a such a positive presence and she will be greatly missed by the staff and patients! It has been a wonderful 2 years and 7 months working with you Micah!

A big shout out to Marion who pulled together a wonderful gathering for the staff!

Last week Team Rehab Novi hosted the annual "Great American Chili Cook-off" along side our Super Bowl Squares fundraiser!

We were able to raise $3,000 for Manna Meals Soup Kitchen clothing fund!

Special kudos a few fabulous ladies! Nancy Webb for buying a full sheet of squares as well as managing the cook off. Kim for organizing the squares fundraiser! And Emerald and Marion for ensuring the chili cook off ran smoothly!

Team Rehab Novi got to witness a special moment yesterday!

Howard has not only been a patient of ours for many years but is also a dear friend. On Monday it marked 53 years since he received his wings as a pilot.

But not wings to be just any pilot, a Navy Pilot. Preparing to become a Navy pilot requires a stellar history of academics, leadership skills, athletics, and exceptional all-around characteristics just to get accepted into the Navy pilot program. To then become a Navy Pilot is an impressive accomplishment however, spend just 10 minutes with Howard and you’ll see he exudes these traits to this day.

Howard served as an active Navy Pilot for 8 years followed by 22 years of reserve duty. Petty Officer Joseph Ianetta stopped by the clinic yesterday to present Howard with 2 Navy pins to recognize Howard and thank him for his 30 years of service!

Thank you to both Howard and Joseph for their service!

Howard continued to fly for 30 years as a corporate pilot for General Motors. His wife Jackie worked many years as a flight attendant. Their second home for many years you could say was the sky.

Many of you know that over at Team Rehab Novi we have a special relationship with Manna Community Soup Kitchen in Corktown, Detroit.

Father Tom, who is actively still managing the soup kitchen, had a birthday this week! We gathered across the street from the Manna Meals at Ottava Via to celebrate his 85th!

It was wonderful to see not only our crew but also the community shower him with love by singing him Happy Birthday!

Since we are mentioning Manna Meals Soup Kitchen we have to share that our annual Super Bowl Squares are up for grabs! (Yes, we know it hurts that there is no Honolulu blue on the flier) The Super Bowl squares are just one of the many ways Team Novi works to raise money to help clothe those in need!!

Call us superstitious but the blue wigs worked last week so we had to pull them out again!

Definitely stepped up the game this week, just like we knows the Lions will!!

Please take a minute to read about the Love Runs campaign for those running in the FREEP marathon this fall.

Well our friend Judy Bowling of Livonia / Plymouth is still running every year, that is simply amazing!!! Judy is one of us, middle aged parent of 3 & standing tall for what she knows is good.

Judy is running to help raise money for the trafficking atrocities. Love Runs is through a local church and looks to be an outstanding vehicle for this initiative.

PLEASE TAKE A LOOK and read her story.

I can say with confidence that Judy is one of the finest people you'll ever meet from one of the best and most generous families in our area. And her running for this cause is simply awesome!!!
