Looks like we are in for some traffic delays starting March 22 in Farmington Hills near Orchard Lake and 14 mile! 

STATEMENT FROM THE CITY OF FARMINGTON HILLS:

Please be advised that 14 Mile Road - Farmington to Orchard Lake Road rehabilitation Project is expected to begin Tuesday, March 15th, 2022. This project will involve road reconstruction, storm sewer installation, minor water main improvements, and installation of a sidewalk on the south side of 14 Mile between Pear Ridge Road and Clubhouse Lane. As with all projects, there will be inconveniences and we thank you for your patience until this project is completed.

14 Mile will be closed to through traffic during the construction. If you live directly 14 Mile or a subdivision whose only access is off 14 Mile, you will be able to travel EASTBOUND ONLY (from Farmington to Orchard Lake) for the duration of the project.

Concurrently with this construction project, the Road Commission for Oakland County is reconstructing Orchard Lake Road between 13 Mile and 14 Mile starting Monday, March 21st. 2022. Traffic on Orchard Lake Road will be SOUTHBOUND ONLY (from 14 Mile to 13 Mile) for the duration of the project. Please see the attached flyer from the Road Commission of Oakland County with respect to this project.
