FIFTY(+) men gathered this morning for an annual 'Ugly Sweater 5k' and a celebration of what we accomplished as a collective group in 2023.
Each of us have made gains from the camaraderie and encouragement as well as the drive to work harder.
The workouts may hook us and the fellowship keeps us coming back; all of it helps ready us to accelerate and develop our leadership for the betterment of our community.

This supplements our existing QSource AO and 10 other beatdown-related AO’s.

2.23 Run for Maud, was recognized across the Chicago region.
Five workouts in three sub-regions all took part and paid respect to a life lost too early.
Ahmaud set out for a jog and was murdered along the way. We set out to run for him.

The early Saturday workout at AO is typically a ruck workout.
Fill a backpack w/ weight and expect some distance and expect to move it around.
02/02 : 9 met at AO where Linus promised us he wouldn’t seek any overhead shelter!!
Meanwhile, Eight met at for a Tron QIC (welcome ‘Hoffa’!)
… and 2nd-Shift rolled in at where LeadPipe kept the AO name true and led the men through the snow.

We push our fitness in the early hours, in the dark. These few came out to serve together and help out Greater Chicago Food Depository through the coordination of Breakthrough Urban Ministries.

The day started w/ 4 for a ruck workout @ , 7 for an EC Run and then 42 for a Co-Nantan Q & passing of the flag midway through the beatdown.
This train is not stopping, F3OP is charging forward.

Humbled & inspired by the 42 men who came out for YHC’s last Q as Nantan and then followed Bronco’s lead for the next portion of the beatdown and time ahead of us.
F3 Nation has been a model to us all; as a group of leaders we are called to be better men.
11/13 : After two solid workouts, one at 0600 and another at 0700, a solid group got together for another successful beer ruck!
12 PAX logged over 6 miles hitting and handful of AOs : Eagles Landing, City Limits, WreckCenter and Donut Shop before hitting Beer Shop.

12/27 : This morning got rolling w/ a solid 12 for Madoff’s coupon workout as travels a little bit and explores local options.

Ragnar Trail : F3OP men got their campsite set-up and spent the weekend chasing 130 miles as an 8-man relay team.
Alliance kicked us off and HackeySack’s record-breaking closing finish was too fast to film, but all eight runners put in a strong effort and started/finished in their own best way.
Good times was had by all.

Hardly any distance traveled, but alotta weight thrown around.
What looks like “adult recess” is probably the hardest and best part of my day.

Our Nantan kept it slow and burning - a team workout and a required team attitude to get through each segment;
not unlike the group itself: it’s taken a team to build from initial 6 to where we are now.
