With sadness in our hearts we lost a beautiful soul today, our sweet Nora Cassell. She was a permanent figure of Al's and we will miss her so much! Please share your Nora memories as we pay tribute to her. May She rest in peace 🙏

From our waitress Anna to all of you. Today was her last day and she will be greatly missed ? Here is her message that she wanted us to post .

"To my dearest friends and family at Als grill,

Words cannot express how much joy and love I have experienced over the last 18 years working for Als Grill. I have gotten to know many of you personally and the love you have given me has filled my heart in so many ways. I have watched many of your babies grow into adults, I feel like I’ve been a part of many aspects of your lives, personal experiences including graduations, weddings, engagements, BIRTHDAYS, births, and sadly sometimes losses of family members. It’s unbelievable how much love and acceptance you have given me throughout the years. And for that I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart.

When I first met Bill 18 years ago, I could of never imagined that I would of loved him like my own father, he took me in on the first day, welcomed me into his family and let me be who I am throughout the years with NO FILTER! And for that I want to say Thank you Vasilaki, I love you and this is not a goodbye, I’ll always be here for you when you need me. You are my family whether you like it or not and I will be seeing you again. You told me before I left I was the one flower you had at Als, but I don’t think you realize you are the soil and the foundation that allowed me to grow into the flower I am today.
To all my fellow employees, my girls and guys in the back, I will miss you tremendously and miss all of the hectic moments we had together.
To all of my beloved customers, Thank you again! You have given me more than you know over the years. I am honored and humbled to be apart of your lives and will never ever forget the memories you gave me. "

Al's Grill will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. This has been a very challenging year for everyone and we are extremely thankful to all of you for keeping us going! We also want to thank our staff for all of the hard work, dedication and support they have given us through all of this. We truly have the best staff and we know how lucky we are for it. We wish everyone a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving !

Hello Al's Grill family! 2020 has definitely been a year of obstacles for everyone but together we are stronger and we will all get past this! We can't thank all of you enough for helping us get through these tough times. We appreciate all of you!
We have some updates on what we are doing to safely move forward with the colder weather upon us. Per the Federal, State and local health departments we are allowed to have an enclosed tent for seating as long as every table is 6 ft apart and masks are worn. Well, the tent is up and every safety precaution is being followed. One of the sides is open for circulation but it is still warm in there. On the inside we have installed plexiglass dividers on every booth so that we can utilize all of them. Remember , masks must be worn when not in your booth eating. We continue to check for updates from the CDC and Health Departments so that we are always following the guidelines to maintain a safe environment. We look forward to seeing you at Al's!

Our Fall specials are here and we have 2 new ones! Try our Nutella Pancakes topped with fresh strawberries and bananas and our Irish Benedict!

We have power! We will be open tomorrow with our normal hours of 6 AM to 3PM. We apologize for the inconvenience today and we look forward to seeing all of you soon! We also want to thank the people out there working for Comed for getting us up and running. Originally they said we might be without power until Saturday so we can't thank them enough!

Hello Al's Grill friends and family! As you all know there was a bad storm yesterday and it did a lot of damage here in Oak Park as well as other areas. Unfortunately we do not have power and we are closed for now until it is restored. We will continue to inform you of our status as we receive updates from Comed. Thank you for understanding and we hope to see you soon!
