Its official ILLUMINATION INITIATIVE WEEK (we love a good PUN can you tell 👀)- a week dedicated to the growth of our team and business. We see the value in a good ole RESET-tr What that means for you? Our office will be operating at limited hours 10 AM - 5 PM Monday through Thursday and we will be closed Saturday and Monday for Labor Day weekend starting August 25. We are open for pick ups, out side RX shopping, and emergency visits- we will be spending the rest of our time making our patients experience more EYE-ceptional then ever.

Being in medicine and a small business owner is probably one of the most time demanding jobs out there. There are times I question if it's worth how much of my time goes into it and away from my kids really. Then you get these reminders - we are lucky- we get to build genuine friendships with our patients, neighbors and give back. I look forward to seeing my patients go off to college, welcome a new addition to their family or just getting to see them out and about in our neighborhood. My patients think of me and my family and that makes me feel so grateful. Thank you for that reminder and support esp after a long work week❤️ Blessed with the best patients

When we say we go above and beyond for our patients we mean it. Saturday evening 5 pm - patient with metal foreign body in eye. Our very own, Dr Patel went in during non business hours to take care of this urgent patient so he wouldn't have to wait in the ER. FUN FACT: Actual photo of patient's metal foreign body with rust ring. Metal foreign bodies often cause a rust ring hours after due to high content of O2 on the surface of the eye.

All I wanted after a decade in practice was a place where I can build my vision of what a practice should feel like, treat patients like longtime friends, and practice optometry with out corporate restrictions- lots of work but we're getting there (and having fun while we do so) 🤓🙌👯‍♀️

Monday EonB received some surprise guest visitors-Dr. Tyler and Dr. Black- my professors from OD school .

My years in Optometry School were some of the toughest, yet the most memorable years of my life. Going to school in Florida not knowing anyone - friends /attendees/professors became family and life long friends.

These two were in town from California and Alaska and made it a point to stop in to see our new office. I haven’t spoken to you both in years but I’m so grateful for our friendship and your support. You made our day. When I say we had the best class/professors it’s an understatement (although class of 2010 was by far the best 😆)

Vacay Vibes

It’s crazy to think 1 year ago I saw my first week of patients, 35.5 week pregnant. A very pregnant lady, trying her best to ‘run a business’ with no clue what it entailed. All the while trying to make sure my patients had a seamless experience w/ their “concierge-like” exam- (which really meant the office was running with me, myself and I). Nimesh cut my lenses (yes he was my employee 😬), I saw patients during day and stayed up at night being bookkeeper, accountant, front desk, technician and insurance biller. Two weeks later I went into labor with Kai - I remember being in my hospital room calling patients to tell them we needed to reschedule them because “Dr Patel was on maternity leave”’.

And now here we are, 1 year in— finding our pace - 5 god-sent employees -that make each day we get to work with one another the best.

There have been days where I questioned chasing my dream in exchange for time away from my young kids. Missed baseball games and activities due to weekends working with the grandparents playing mom and dad. I am however proud my kids get to see me achieve my wildest dreams. Even though I can’t be the best mom at all times I hope to inspire them to work hard, chase your dreams, and realize it’s never too late. Thank you to my parents (and in laws) for being second parents to my kids and my husband for supporting me. I couldn’t do this with out you.

Thank you to all my amazing patients- I truly loved getting to know each one of you in this past year. You make my job so easy.
