We’ve got a BIG announcement today and it’s a bittersweet one – Keep Oakland Alive / Nearby Bay Area will be shutting down on Friday.

When the pandemic hit and the East Bay closed up, we jumped into action to provide you all with a marketplace to get local goods delivered to your door – and the way you showed up for your neighborhood shop owners was incredible.

As vaccines have arrived and things have opened up, many of you have returned to shopping in person. Which is wonderful! But there’s been less of a need for what we’re doing here. So it’s time for us to bow out.

Thank you to our customers for trusting us with your shopping and for choosing LOCAL. And thank you to our shop partners – some of the hardest working, kindest, and most talented people we’ve had the pleasure of knowing.

We’ll take your orders through 5pm Friday, and you can shop directly from the stores after that (we’ll link to them from our homepage). Keep on supporting your neighbors!
