s.spot.im The concessions made by the UAWU in 2009 are exactly the same as those that were agreed to by the A.P.W.U. in 2005!... The postal agreement came after the PO had eliminated 200,000 bargaining unit positions between 2000 and 2005 while increasing management by 30%!.... The difference in the two situa...

Massive raise could solidify Oakland mayor’s high-earning status in California The salary increase would come on the heels of what officials have described as the city’s largest ever budget shortfall.
As the first Maintenance Craft Director for the American Postal Worker's Union on the West Coast, I participated in the building inspection at 1675 7th street in 1989, along with the OSHA inspector and the postmaster....
The inspector from OSHA quit because the agency refused to force the postal service to remove all overhead equipment!
The EB-5 visa program was instituted in 1989. It would be interesting to see how many major building inspections have been conducted by the City Of Oakland in conjunction with OSHA since the Loma Prieta quake!!
The postal service was probably aware that OSHA would not press the issue!!!
In 2014 the postal service denied death benefits to the family of an employee who died as the result of an on the job injury!!!
THEY DENIED THE CLAIM TWICE AND OSHA BACKED THEM UP, UNTIL THE MEDIA GOT INVOLVED!!!
With 5000 buildings unaccounted for and the present evidence submitted by the city admitting that there is a shortage of building inspectors, it would be reasonable to assume that no building inspections have been conducted since 1989 in Oakland!!!
INCLUDING THE GHOST SHIP WAREHOUSE!!!
Adding insult to injury, is the fact that as Mayor for two terms, Jerry Brown cut city services even further!!

The case of Dred Scott suing for his and his wife’s freedom from enslavement ended with the United States Supreme Court refusing to acknowledge African Americans as citizens. After 10 years of litigation, the court's decision was read in 1857.
In the same case, the court also decided that it was unconstitutional for the federal government to regulate slavery in U.S. territories. Northerners were outraged by this decision and worked to ensure the election of Abraham Lincoln—prompting Southern secession and the Civil War.
After the court ruling, childhood friends purchased Dred and his wife, Harriet, to set them free. He died nine months after finally achieving his freedom.

GOING POSTAL,THE STORY BEHIND THE FOREVER STAMP
The Postal Service eliminated 200,000 jobs between 2000 and 2006 in preparation for automation of the mail processing division.
In 2006 the FDIC closed hundreds of banks for predatory lending. California based Indy Mac banks and their associates had put 67 million illegally generated mortgage transactions into the system.
The tactics that were used by the Postal Service to eliminate 200,000 positions and the tactics that were used by the Justice Department and the Treasury Department to steal homes from 67 million Blacks, Latinos, poor Whites, immigrants and the elderly are the same.
These Facebook ages show how and why the issues intertwine and what can be done about it!
