We hope you have a wonderful 4th of July holiday! And just as a reminder we will be closed Wednesday July 3rd and Thursday July 4th to take some much needed time off and celebrate as well!

In addition we wanted to let you know that we've Americanized our burger just in time for the holiday! We believe our Smash burger was very good as it was, but we've changed it up just a bit. We've developed a special sauce (yup you guessed it basically our version of a Russian dressing-ketchup, mayo, and a bit of our housemade harissa for a little kick). We've also added American cheese to our stock of cheeses and made it standard on the burger. AND in addition to making the cheese standard we've also lowered the price from $10 to $9. (In this day and age a price going down!!??) So we believe it is a very good value.

In addition to all of this, we are kicking off our new burger with a special coupon just for you as a token of appreciation for our amazing customers. This Friday July 5th through Sunday July 7th, get the burger for just $6!! Let's celebrate the summer solstice with a Fryday Fried Chicken, this Friday June 21st from 5-7:30 PM!

Just like last time, we will ONLY take pre orders, no walk ins to avoid overselling. Also we will be limiting each 15 minute time slot to 6 customers to ensure prompt service. (Limit 4 chicken orders per customer)

To order, simply order in store or call us at (510) 842-9308 between Monday June 17th and Friday June 21st up till 2 pm (or until we are all booked) for a specific 15 minute pick up (or dine in) window between 5 and 7:30 PM. Please specify if you will be dining in or taking out. We ask that you PLEASE NOT ORDER TO GO AND THEN DINE IN!!

The menu is listed below. The sides for this evening are a half Brentwood corn on the cob with a lime feta butter, carrot apple cabbage slaw, of course the buttermilk biscuit. For dessert we will again feature the peach cobbler with some delicious yellow peaches.

A selection of our craft beer and wine, by the glass (dine in only) or bottle, and non alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase. The featured wine will be an organic Semillon from Yorkville Cellars of Mendocino which will pair perfectly with the fried chicken and sides. $22 for the bottle, $8 a glass. Also you can pick up any of our desserts in the case as well, ie chocolate brownies, lemon bars or cupcakes.

Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow (and every Tuesday) is Taco Tuesday. Our revised menu is below. We will have breakfast tacos from 8am-11am and grilled chicken, shrimp or veggie chorizo tacos for lunch from 11 am-4 pm. These are served on our freshly made hand rolled corn tortillas you don't want to miss! Also don't forget that every Wednesday we have Donuts as well so don't forget to stop by!

Lately, I have been obsessed with making the best possible handmade corn tortillas. And thanks to the folks at La Finca, a beautiful little shop at 38th Ave and Foothill Blvd, I believe we've succeeded. After weeks of preparation, we're ready (and excited) to launch our Taco Tuesdays!

These are some special tacos and we're very excited to share them with you. As mentioned, we're making the handmade corn tortillas fresh to order. And we will serve them with our housemade roasted tomato and pasilla pepper salsa - which will also be available to purchase in the deli case. And these are topped with all the delicious fixings. So here's the menu:

It's been 5 years since we've done a dinner at L'acajou and we've decided that it's been too long. I've been thinking about this for awhile and decided to start doing some pop up dinners every once in awhile to do something different and have some fun!

I've been making a lot of fried chicken at home-it's so tasty and satisfying and my son loves it so I decided it's time to share with all of our fantastic L'acajou customers. It's dine in or carry out and we'll have some great beers and wines and some Arnold Palmers! Hope you can join us.
