"Silvia was one of the first singers at Lafayette Elementary, in 2002. When her little brother, Jose, also wanted to sing, we created a training choir in the spring of 2004, the Rising Stars. When Silvia and her friends graduated from elementary school and wanted to continue singing, we began the All Star Singers for middle and high school students in the fall of 2004. Today, Silvia’s oldest child is a first grader in our program at Piedmont Avenue Elementary School. Full circle!"
