Dear Father, I pray Your emotional, physical, and spiritual protection over our kids at Genesis. Keep evil far from them, and help them to trust You as their refuge and strength. Help them not to be distracted by the Tempter. I pray You will guard their minds and hearts from harmful instruction, and grant them discernment to recognize truth. I pray You will make them strong and courageous in this world, recognizing that You have overcome and will set right all injustice and wrong one day. Help them to find rest in Your mighty shadow, as they live in the spiritual shelter You provide for them. Let them know that the only safe place is in Jesus our Lord and that their home on earth is only temporary. May their focus be on the eternal and not the temporary. Protect our teachers, our parents, our students, and property from the evil one. May your presence be realized in a powerful way. I ask that the Holy Spirit of God have free reign and for the powers of darkness to be silenced. I praise YOU for what you are preforming and the masterpiece of Grace that you desire in each of our lives! I glorify your name! I praise you and adore you!

Hello Genesis Family! I have a deep passion for sharing the love of Christ, I know that God has called me to reach the next generation for His glory.

My journey began when I got saved at the young age of 19, which ignited my desire to inspire young hearts to embrace their faith in Christ even in their youth.

My hearts desire is to build up our youth to have a firm foundation in Christ. I want to guide young people toward a deeper relationship with Christ, and equip them to share their light into the lives of many around them!

Welcome DaMarco Givens to our Preschool Family!

I am Damarco Givens born in Flint Michigan, raised in Nashville TN and currently residing in the great state of Georgia! I am honored and excited to be on this journey with you all and Genesis Academy. It is because of the Grace of God that I have this opportunity to share in growth with you all. I never would have imagined I would be pursuing my degree in Christian Leadership and pursuing a career in teaching children.

I realize that it is a calling on my life to serve and invest in another generation the knowledge of Jesus Christ and what it means to be a Christian in a world full of darkness. I am passionate about learning and getting the best education to become the best version of myself.

Genesis Academy gives me the opportunity to spread the Love of Jesus Christ while teaching the fundamentals of learning at the same time and as your child’s teacher, they will be supported and encouraged to become the best version of who they can be for Gods glory!

Thank you for this opportunity. I am looking forward to seeing what God brings out of this relationship and school year. I have Faith, that it is going to be a great one!

Welcome Mrs. Tricia Currie!

I love kids! Growing up as the 2nd of eight kids—same parents!— started me on this journey. I am a San Francisco native whom Jesus transplanted to the South. My Tennessee-born husband and I have six children who now live everywhere. Being closer to our kids brought us to the Atlanta area.

I love teaching, writing, public speaking, parent coaching, mentoring of young gals and cooking). I have taught every grade level and have spent time as an instructional specialist. I am looking forward to a great year!
