Paula's Ceramic Pantry

Well today was a mess. Got there for my cataract surgery and it was discovered that I hadn't had an Ascan or pre-op. (Can I ask who messed up?). Once the Ascan was done the doctor decided, because of the damage in my left eye, that he would do the right eye first. I'll find out the surgery date in two weeks. GRRRRRRR.

However, we will be going ahead with the two shows in September. Hope to see you there.

As you can see we have started pouring again. Greenware waiting to be cleaned are pictured below. We now have both versions of the truck and are improving our selection of toppers. Plus we have acquired few vintage molds we will be pouring (the feather vase is an example). Pictures below of the first pour.

We are planning to be at two events in September, the 14th and 28th. Both events are located in Rolling Green Village's auditorium .

Good news David has received permission to start pouring again! He has completed the first pouring of our new molds (toppers, flatbed, planter for the truck/cart, cart, & a vase). David starts physical therapy September 3. Surgeon is really happy with his progress.

We are planning on being at the September Bazzar. We do have a show room (kind of set up in our home). As we pour, clean, and get items fired we will let you know.

Yea, we finally have electric! Still no water.

David's surgery went well in fact better than anticipated. He has been home for almost a week. The surgical and fall trauma has caused his arm to swell to at least twice its normal size. He also has manifested an allergic reaction to antibiotics given to him in the hospital. We spent yesterday in the OR.
We are hanging in there. Thanks for your support. We hope to be back up and running shortly after the New Year.

UPDATE! We saw the orthopedic surgeon today and news was bad. David shattered the large bone that goes between the ebow and the shoulder. It is so bad that the bone is basically dieing so it has to be removed and bone replacement put in place. The smaller bone has a significant chunk out of it and chunk is resting right next to a nerve. That will be repaired. His recovery will be close to a year.

Just a reminder, we will not be at the July Bazaar. We are not pouring or firing at this time.
David does not see the orthopedic surgeon until next Monday (July 15). Until after we see the doctor we are clueless as to what the course of action will be. Right now we are just hanging in there and taking it one day at a time.

We are finally home from the ER. David was going down three steps (the electrical job he was working on was finished and he was packing up) and missed two steps. His left knee is badly bruised and scrapped up and he fractured his right shoulder. With the holiday tomorrow they couldn't make him an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon. We were also unable to get his pain meds filled. We are icing the shoulder and alternating Tylenol and ibuprofen. We have a long way to go before he can see a doctor. We have to call the surgeon on Friday. Needless to say I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with everything.

Unfortunately, we are not going to be able to pour anything until David is healed. I just want to cry.

All positive thoughts and prayers are appreciated.

The new molds arrived yesterday afternoon from Clay Magic. They are drying and should be ready to pour early next week.

Out of slip. Making a trip to Orlando Saturday and up to Hawthorne to get slip. Hopefully, will pick up two new molds also.

We have been busy pouring. All items seen in greenware are already available in bisque. We also take orders. Check back as we will be pouring more items in the weeks before the Bazzar, June 22 at Rolling Greens Village in Ocala.
