For the majority of August, we teamed up with and NBC to help adopt as many animals as possible. We did 150 Adoptions for the whole month of August and returned 3 animals home to their owner! Our total for 2024 is 1,204 Adoptions!

Meet TUNDRA, a five-year-old, 57 lb, beautiful boy! His gentle nature is as vast as the tundra he is named after. This energetic fellow is always ready for an adventure, his curiosity leading the way. Yet, he is also a cuddle-bug who loves nothing more than snuggling up after a day of play. TUNDRA is a loyal fellow, he is good with other dogs and forms strong bonds with those around him. Adopt TUNDRA and you will not just gain a pet, you will gain a loyal friend, and the best cuddle partner. He also knows how to give paw!

This goes to the famous, Bradley Cooper! Bradley is 19 weeks old and weighs 4 pounds. He has been at our shelter for 15 weeks, he came to our shelter as a bottle baby and our wonderful fosters took care of him until he was old enough for Adoption. Bradley is super sweet, very affectionate, and loves attention. He can't wait to find his way into your heart and home!

It's Coral on this 'Furry Friend Friday'! Our Barry Michaels fell in love with her color and her personality! She will sit calmly in your arms, then play when you set her down. She would bring quite a bit of love to your life! Adopt today from Jami or anyone at The Humane Society of Marion County!

This we are so grateful for the Lions Clubs International! The Lions Club graciously donated 100 pairs of glasses to be sold at our thrift store. All sales from the thrift store benefit our shelter animals!

We had so much fun at our Summer Doggone Good Readings! We can’t wait to continue the fun this school year! Our next Doggone Good Reading is September 7th.

This is APOLLO. His name should be Precious. Not only does he love meeting new people, he is good with cats, dogs and kids! He is 1 year & 6 months old and weighs 59 lbs. He is gentle and smart and needs a home where his new family has the time and patience to train him. He is talented in that, he can jump a 4 foot fence, so he must never be left outdoors alone. Be the ones to give this guy a second chance. You will in turn gain not only a grateful pup but a loyal member of your family for life!

Little Bill came to us last month when his human went into an assisted living facility. At first, he was very nervous, understandably so, but he has since realized we're the good guys. He is eleven years old and weighs a whopping 18 pounds! When he arrived, staff felt a growth on the back of his neck. The growth was removed, and his fur is starting to grow back. He loves chin scratches, ear rubs, and brushing. Please come and meet him at the Petco Adoption Center! You will fall in love with this gentle giant! ❤️

This is INK! He is 4 years old and comes from a home where his people were not very good fur parents. He weighs 68 lbs. and was found as a stray. His owners were contacted, but unfortunately never came and picked Ink up. This friendly and playful boy needs a second chance at a good home. He might be shy at first but warms up pretty quickly. He does not do well with children and would prefer to be the only animal in the home. He does not like to share the love. He is very handsome, affectionate, and an all around good boy. Come out and meet him sometime soon, he is looking forward to going home!
