The Saints varsity girls team finished in 2nd place out of 12 teams at the Whispering Pines Invitational. They were led by Payton Nazzari’s 14th place finish. Reese Beaser came in 16th, while Emma Reese got 19th place. Varsity boys were led by Aiden Mann’s PR (personal record) time of 18:40. Nolan’s Farris’ 20:03, 33rd place and Teddy Scott’s 21:50 60th place also ran varsity.
Sydney Farris came in 1st place in the JV girls race with a time of 20:58. Charley You g had the Saints boys best JV place with 13th place with a time of 22:04.

Congratulations to our Varsity Baseball Saints as they finished 3rd in the 2023 Sunshine State Athletic Conference Championships this past weekend by defeating First Baptist Academy by the score of 15 to 5. Calling all Saints Fans Saint John will be hosting the 2023 Sunshine State Athletic Conference Baseball Championship Tournament this weekend starting with an action packed double header Tonight starting at 5pm. The action continues Saturday morning at 10am with the championship game to be played at 12pm. Tickets are 5 dollars at the gate. Let’s pack the bleachers and support our saints as they compete for The SSAC Title. Go Saints 💙💛

It’s been a fun but tough off season for our varsity football program and as the saying goes “Hard Work Pays Off” Coach McLeod and the coaching staff decided to take a moment from the whistle and take some time to enjoy some team bonding and fellowship at The University of Florida Spring Football Game last night. First Meet of the season – really was more of a time trial to see where our fitness levels were at the moment.

Father Pat Classic at Trinity Catholic – 2/25/2023

place 3200m) 4x100m relay team placed 1st
Good all-around outing for the team, especially how early in the season it was.

SFHS Raiders Mini Meet – 3/1/2023

Very competitive meet with lots of teams in bigger conferences, we did well for ourselves.

Oak Hall Mini Meet #2 – 3/8/2023
Top performer(s): Reese Beaser (9th place 1600m), 4x100m relay team placed 3rd
Lots of personal records set this meet, a very competitive field.

Trinity Catholic Mini Meet – 3/14/2023
Top performer(s): Layla Salman (1st place – Javelin), Brody Gravante (1 st place – 110m Hurdles)
Highest team finish on the year with 3rd place, trending in the right direction when it matters.

Oak Hall Mini Meet #3 – 3/28/2023

Another solid team outing on a very abbreviated day, meet got canceled halfway due to lightning.

I am so blessed to have come across such a great group of young men this season. It has been nothing but an honor and a blessing to have been your coach. There’s so many people I would like to thank but for starters I’ll begin with Saint John and Buddy Karolev if it wasn’t for them taking a chance on me this journey would’ve never come to be.

To my seniors I love you and I’m so thankful for all of your sacrifice and understanding but more importantly your faith in me as your leader through it all. You’ve definitely laid the foundation and your contributions will never be forgotten. I pray that as you begin your new chapters in life that god shows you the way and that your journey is blessed.

To my parents I thank you so much for your unconditional support for the boys and for myself and this coaching staff. There are no words that could ever express how grateful I am to have met you all so I’ll simply say thank you and I thank god for you.

To my returning and future saints to go through the journey that we’ve gone through this year the highs, the lows, the pain and the joy. I challenge you to remember that feeling from last night and recommit to the process of becoming a champion. To go from that feeling of our season was over to finishing as a SSAC regional finalist tells a story that the feeling was only temporary and you never gave up hope. I am so proud of you all and once our wounds heal I welcome you all back to the process and we will finish the job next year.

Last but not least, to my coaches I love you guys and I thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to these young men. The time you sacrificed, the tough love you gave, and the lessons you’ve taught I’m forever grateful for the bonds that we have built with each other. You are appreciated.

To The Entire Saint John Community We Will Be Back Next Year And We Will Finish The Job!!!💙💛
