Great things are happening here at Big Lee’s! Back in 2014, after Big Lee’s was open for just a few weeks, I told Patrice that I felt like God was going to re-establish my platform as a motivational speaker through BBQ. It felt like it made no sense when I said it. We hadn’t won any awards, no TV appearances, no one knew who we were. But God had a plan and in my heart I could always sense it even in the early days.

Now that thing I told her has come true. I’ve worked hard to build this incredibly successful platform for almost 10 years now. We have become a positive light in the community, become a global destination for BBQ, millions of dollars in sales over the years, employed dozens of people, put Ocala on the culinary map, won countless awards, dozens of national TV appearances and still loving my family and God like nothing has ever changed.

I’m now taking this same, super powerful spark of inspiration that Uncle Leon gave me and I going to share it with the world in the most engaging, fun and powerful way possible!

The platform is re-established and I am so excited for the speaking engagements I have lined up. I have some that are volunteer work and other conferences and keynotes that are paid opportunities.

When I speak, I help students and working professionals find their spark of inspiration, and convert it into an inferno of passionate successful living!

The festival's highly anticipated dinner features an exquisite custom menu from a team of celebrity chefs, including , Timothy Hollingsworth, and Yohann Le Bescond. Wow! What an incredible weekend that we’ve just come off of in Southern California!

But now we’re back in Central Florida, the home of some of the world’s best BBQ and it is Taco Tuesday at Midtown from 11:30-3:30!

Great things are happening here at Big Lee’s! It’s time to spill the beans! One of my first culinary dreams has come true! Big Lee’s will be on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives this Friday at 9pm representing Ocala, Marion County and Florida once again on the worlds largest culinary platform, Food Network! This is one of the longest running and most popular shows on ! The Mayor of Flavortown has invited us to show the world what we’ve been doing with barbecue for all these years now!

Dreams really do come true! Hard work, dedication and being committed to high standards is important if you want to see your dreams turn into realities!

Merry Christmas! Today is such a special day for our family!

A Weekend of Fine Food and Community Comes to a Close at WEC – Ocala - World Equestrian Center The Second Annual Ocala Food & Wine Festival presented by Lugano Diamonds was November 4-6, 2022. The event was a spectacular weekend filled with all things food and wine at WEC.

This weekend was so amazing! Spending time with a room full of Forest High School culinary students was a such a good time! I shared so much amazing advice and insight with them. We received so much great feedback! This was just the start of an amazing weekend!
