I have to vent!!! Do you really blame NAR for everything? I don't blame NAR completely. I blame the DOJ for going after the industry as a whole. I don't believe this is to protect the people. Commissions have always been negotiable. You have to be an adult to sign a contract, etc. They have an agenda, it wil come out. Maybe they need more money to put towards inflation, maybe not, $412 Million wouldn't put a dent in that. If anyone really knows the reason, let me know. I blame NAR for allowing the industry to become complacent, allowing a lack of training from brokers. Maybe, they should look at the time frame for an agent to become a broker and the education that goes with it. Class and test ( 2 years and no sales). Professionalism is a big issue. I am a REALTOR® and can't get another Agent/REALTOR® to answer or return a call. Tired of text... I don't negotiate in text. Why, oh why, do you want to text three pages of negotiations and repairs? Do the addenda and send it over. I can go on all day; if agents knew how to explain the listing agreements and had better negotiation skills, they would have understood our value. I don't blame the uneducated agents/REATLORS®, I blame their Broker, FAR, and NAR for not demanding better agents/REATLORS®. W**d out the unprofessional REALTORs. NAR and each state should have tougher requirements on education and professionalism, and then the customer/client wouldn't mind paying for our value. I digress........

Changes are still in the works for the industry. I expect at least another two years of changes to changes until the industry figures this out.
