Divine Bulldogs

In light of the Kentucky Derby this weekend we thought it would be fun to let folks know a little history. Don Divine made a huge impact on the American Pit bull Terrier while simultaneously making one in the world of race horses. He became famously known for his ability to train and condition horses. His record with 2yr olds was impeccable. Conditioning seemed to be a special talent Don had and could apply to any animal he could get his eyes and hands on. Here is the late Don Divine(on the left) standing in the winners circle alongside Ben Jones and jockey Eddie Arcaro to receive recognition in the 1952 Kentucky Derby with the winner "Hill Gail". Ben and Eddie were great horsemen as well.

Nice up and coming male from a breeding we made with our stud dog Zack to a Bolio bred bitch. This young fella has the makings of a true bulldog.

Check out these great looking pups! A breeding that should turn out to be one to remember. Line bred on the famous Jethro dog on top and line bred on our very own Lefty on the bottom. Breeding is DLC’s Gremlin aka Buckwheat x Divine’s Laverne.

Finally the breeding we’ve been waiting for! Our stud dog Handsome aka Little Doc who is a son of Sport produced an amazing dog named Checkmate when we made the breeding back to Sport’s half sister Stripper. We bred Checkmate to Laverne who is one of the only daughters out of the Lefty x Daisy breeding. These pups go back heavy on our blood on both sides. Through Sport and Stripper we have the Little Ace and Patty blood in there and through Daisy we have the old Solution blood. Here is a nice picture of a pair.
