The birds love my peaches, and often knock them off the limb. Then the bees have decided they love the damaged peaches. Never know what I'll see here at the Compound.
The peaches are getting ripe here at the Compound. But a squirrel has found one tree!!
Soon be time for Peach and Peach Pie flavored jams, as well as Wild Plum. MMM, good.
MMMM, good! Had some peaches, blueberries, peppers (bell and Jalapeno) in the freezer, and have been making LOTS of jam. The heat of the peppers varies, one batch I made last night is HOT! Then the next batch is just a little bit zippy. Peach Pie jam on my waffle this morning, so good. Need any hostess or Christmas gifts? Message or call me, y'all. Happy Thanksgiving.

Well, it's that time of year again. Have to defrost a freezer in anticipation of hunting season. I get fruit in season, portion it out and freeze it when there's not time to do more right then. Now, when I unearth some of the containers from the iceberg, I'll be jammin' this week. If anyone needs hostess gifts, holiday gifts or just to spoil your family, please holler. Have blueberry (I think), peach, strawberry, sparkleberry (wild blueberries) and kumquat/sour orange marmalade to make up.
Found the last of the Sparkleberries (wild blueberries) from last season in the freezer. Made 8 jars of beautiful, flavorful jam.
