What an exciting week for us at NurtureChi! On Sept 8th we launched our Positive Energy Bars, a product that started out as an idea I had in my High School Special Ed/Biology class. Is is very satisfying to take an idea, create a recipe, figure out how to produce it, market it and all the details along the way.

My family has not only been cheering me along the way but they have been “hands-on”, bouncing ideas with me, editing my communications, providing awesome feedback and of course making and packaging bars. Since we all have full-time day gigs, It has all been done on their “own-time”! Super thanks to Debra, Barbra, and Dharma and all our extended family members who also cheered and provided feedback.

Today is the Official Launch of NurtureChi’s Positive Energy Bars! I've finally picked a launch date. What started as a random idea I had in February in my high school classroom will now launch on Amazon and my website https://nurturechi.com on September 7th... NurtureChi Be Bare and Be Brave Positive Energy Bars. Putting final launch touches on website and sprucing up Amazon account. If you read this, would you consider sending a bit of energy (through prayer or whatever method works for you) for a successfull launch? So grateful for all the support along the way. Last week we (and when I say “we”, it’s an aspirational “we”. Presently we = me) filed for a health permit so we could begin making bars in our partner’s kitchen. So far there is no update on this, but even though we are not making bars, we’ve still been very busy.

We set up a CRM (customer relationship management) system to track customer communication, vendors and potential partners.

We made initial contact with a handful of energy bar manufacturers. We are working to find a partner to transition manufacturing to after we have built up enough sales.

I welcome feedback on the website, phone system, etc. We’re off to a good start, but I am excited to keep improving.

I’m also pleased to report that today I reached a verbal agreement with a kitchen partner for me to make my energy bars and energy drink at. I’m writing up a written agreement to be signed in a couple of days, and as soon as that is done, I’ve already got the paperwork together to file for a food manufacturing permit with the state of MS, and exemption paperwork to file with the FDA.
