To state the obvious, it will be hot tomorrow! The Market will probably close a little early because of the heat, but we will stay as long as we can stand it.

This is farmed by Rachel and Tim of Gulf Coast Heritage Meats, who are regular vendors at the Ocean Springs Fresh Market.

Sugar Baby Watermelons are here! Chilton County peaches and lots of other great fruits and veg. Plus lots of other goodies, eggrolls, honey, bread, jerky, grass fed meat, flowers and plants, coffee, fresh pressed juices and more and yet more..........

Ocean Springs Library will also be making a first time appearance at the market and the library friends will be holding a pop up Fresh Market book sale to benefit the library.

Gavin and Joseph still have Chilton County peaches, but we are nearing the end of the season, so come and get them soon. See you at the market!

Gavin will have Grand Bay watermelons, blackberries, Chilton County peaches and a host of other goodies tomorrow from 9am - 1pm. Remember the heat, so wear a hat and drink plenty of water!

It's still watermelon time for your 4th of July long weekend. Come early, most of the vendors are in place by 8.30am, so come when it's cooler.

Our official hours are 9am - 1pm, but it really depends on how hot it is and also the heat index. Call Diane at 228-257-2496 if you plan on coming after 12pm to make sure we will still be there.

We try not to leave before 1pm, but if the heat is dangerously high, we have no choice. Stay cool!

We are coming into the summer heat, so come earlier in the day when it's cooler. Most of our vendors are set up before 8.30am, so it makes sense to come early. Parking is easier too!

It's getting to the end of blueberry season this year; we may have some next week but can't be sure. This season was a great one after two bad years and, at best. it's only a six week season. So come and get some locally grown blueberries while you still can.

Sugar Fix Pralines are back at the market! Gabby and her sons will be with us on a weekly basis, starting tomorrow, June 8th. See you at the Market!

It's blueberry season! This Saturday, May 25th, Karon will have Vancleave grown blueberries grown on her farm, while Gavin will have Grand Bay grown blueberries grown on his cousin's farm. Next week on Saturday June 1st we will have the annual Red, White and Blueberry Festival. See you soon!

Louisiana strawberries are back! Pop -up Strawberry Festival next week, April 27th 9am - 1pm.

If you need a Servesafe Management Certification, Chef Danie will be teaching a class in Vancleave on Monday April 22nd. Details are on her page Chef Danie Cooks. Test is taken online at the end of the class, and results are same day.

Gulfport Harbor Farmers Market will be closed tomorrow due to the weather.

Not only do our farmers grow fruits, vegetables and flowers, we also grow cats! This is Hana, adopted by Diane from the Feral Feline Coalition in Ocean Springs.

They have a booth at the market almost every Saturday. Come and talk to them about their work with feral cats and come and hug a cat as well!

We are open as usual tomorrow, Saturday March 30th, from 9am - 1pm. connect with the people who make and grow the food you eat for Easter, and all year long. We even have gourmet dog treats! Start planting now, we have blooming Mississippi grown plants and flowers just waiting for you.

However, we are not entirely absent as Mondays Dog Treats, Fit Farm Food, Buzz's Beef Jerky, Wallace's Ferns and Foliage, Terrys Creations, Gautier Gold Honey, Linda's Jams Jellies and pickles, Sugar Fix Pralines, Chef Danie Cooks, Darlene's eggrolls and an oldie but goody. Grumpy Man salsas and pepper jellies will all be there. In addition, Kristen of Fit Farm Food, Angela of Monday's Dog Treats and Chef Danie of Chef Danie Cooks will be speakers at the Festival. Ocean Springs Fresh Market is one of only 16 Certified Farmers Markets (out of a total of 64 "farmers markets"} in Mississippi. This means that we have actual farmers at the market and all non-farm items are made or grown by the vendor or their employees. Know where your food comes from!

Matthew's salsa and tortilla chips, made to his grandmother's recipe, Derik's peppers and seasonings (he grows his own peppers) and Jay's microgreens, grown above the Harbor in Ocean Springs. Every Saturday in the Depot parking lot from 9am - 1pm. Lots of other goodies as well!
