This week is Right of Way Professionals Week. Thanks to the right of way professionals who play an integral role in providing reliable power to our members.

MB Tech Contractors have started a Cable Attachment Audit this week with Coast Electric. The work these crews are doing will NOT cause any outages and there is no action you should take. We just wanted to be sure our members know who is working in the area. MB Tech crews will be working within the following areas:

Three Rivers, Woolmarket, HWY 15, Lamey, Gay Road, Sunkist and Cedar Lake. MB Tech employees will be wearing orange/green shirts and caps that display their company logo. These employees will have Coast Electric Contractor signs on their trucks while working and traveling in the areas.

Crews are working scattered outages throughout our service area after tonight’s severe weather. We appreciate your patience as they work to repair damage and restore service.

Spring storms are just around the corner!

Did you know that February 11 kicked off Spring Severe Weather Preparedness Week?

Each year, Mississippi's governor will designate one week in February to highlight all of the possible weather events we could experience in the coming spring. Out of an abundance of caution for our members and employees, our offices will not open today, Jan. 16, until 10 a.m. Dispatchers and crews are on duty and will work outages as usual. Bundle up and be safe!

Dangerously cold weather is expected across the state starting Monday, January 15th. Here are some tips on how you can prepare for the winter weather coming our way.

Thank you for your patience while our crews worked to restore service after last night’s severe weather. Thanks also go to our operations team for working throughout the night! We can’t prevent outages during storms, but we are glad to have a team of employees who work hard and members who support us!

What a night experiencing that weather. Our linemen are currently working to restore power to 4,612 meters across our entire service area.

Our dispatchers report outage causes as trees on lines, broken poles, and downed power lines.

Please know that our linemen have been working all night and will continue until all power is restored.
