Today we honor Jeb’s dad, Private First Class Gerald Lawrence Dufresne! On this day, 80 years ago, he and his comrades stormed Omaha Beach in Normandy, France to mark the successful beginning of the end of Hitler’s tyrannical regime. We are eternally grateful for his sacrifice!

It’s been a beautiful kick off to Memorial Day weekend. We will adjust our schedule this weekend and be open on Monday May 27th for the holiday. Come join us for breakfast!

Reminder of our operation schedule for the 2024 season.

We are open at 7am Wednesday through Sunday. We close on Monday and Tuesday to give our staff a chance to reset and spend time with their families! We hope you join us for a cozy and delicious breakfast!

We are excited to be opening on Saturday May 18th. Come grab your favorite breakfast and maybe catch a beautiful sunrise on the Maine coast!

A quick update for the cove cafe. We will be opening for the 2024 season on May 18th. We will continue with our schedule from last year, open Wednesday through Sunday (closed Monday and Tuesday). We will open at 7am daily and we look forward to serving you the best breakfast!

Thank you to all of our wonderful Cove Cafe family for supporting Kevin on New Year’s Day in his fund raising for Special Olympics! Kevin was the 5th highest fund raiser amongst almost 700 people who participated! Thank you Kevin for braving the icy Atlantic waters for such a great cause! Thanks to everyone for supporting people with special needs! Special: Exceptionally Great! Important! Unique! Special is something to strive for! The ultimate compliment! A word that we can all hope to be called! Not for the things that we cannot do, but for all the things we can!

My name is Kevin Etter. You might know me from one of the various hats I wear. I am a manager at the Cove Cafe breakfast restaurant in Perkins's Cove in Ogunquit. I am also an 8th grade math teacher at York Middle School. I currently live in South Berwick and volunteer to help coach my three kids sports teams in Marshwood (lacrosse and soccer).

Being able to give back and support those in need is very important. It’s something I have been doing since I was a young kid. Currently, I am in the middle of supporting a great cause, the Maine Special Olympics. I have been doing the Maine Lobster Dip for a few years now and have loved the opportunity to help raise funds for a good cause! On New Year's Day 2024 I will be participating again. Last winter when I jumped in, the ocean water temperature was 39 degrees and the air temperature was 35 degrees!

I am looking to try something new this year to raise money towards my Lobster Dip. I am creating a shirt to wear on the day of the event. On the shirt I will be putting the individual or business names/logos of those who make a minimum $50 donation and will be pushing out your support on social media at multiple times over the next few weeks and on the day of the event.

It's the final days of the Cove Cafe! We will be open at 7am on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday for breakfast! Last day of the season will be Monday October 9th.

Come join us for breakfast this weekend at the Cove Cafe! As usual, we will be closed on Monday and Tuesday and will open on Wednesday, October 4th. We will be open on Monday, October 9th and this will be the last day of serving breakfast for the 2023 season!

A calm morning after stormy weather yesterday. Looking like a beautiful fall day! We are open at 7am and will follow our regular weekly schedule (closed Monday and Tuesday.)

Good morning from Perkins Cove! It is getting windy but otherwise seems calm for now! The Cove Cafe is open for breakfasts for those who venture out! Our wonderful staff is here to serve up some great food and service.

It felt like summer last weekend! After being open for Labor Day we wanted to make sure our staff got a needed day of rest so we will be closed Wednesday September 6th. We will resume our normal schedule on Thursday September 7th and will open at 7am! Try out our homemade corned beef hash!
