Praise God! The pregnancy center of OKeechobee offers free wellness exams including pap exams for women with out insurance. Open Hands Health Center offers free wellness exams with free mammogram referrals for those who also financially qualify. Call to make your appointment.

Parents, Require Obedience of Your Children The laziness of Christian parents perplexes me. I hope these nine observations will help rescue some from the folly of laissez-faire parenting.

Life is hard...for Christians as well. Surrendering your life to Christ won't always make it easier. Jesus told us we would have trials and tribulations, “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world."”

But we won't be overcome by our troubles when we put our faith and trust in Him. No matter what we are facing.

Late post from Tuesday

Praise God for Dr Coyne who is a retired oral surgeon from the coast who has volunteered to come once again to OKeechobee and serve us at the Florida Baptist Convention free dental van and removed over 23 teeth. Thanks to dental assistant Anita for volunteering to help him.

Praise God for Oakview for allowing us to bring the van to OKeechobee.

Much thanks to Pastor Doug who shared the gospel with all of our patients. Much praise that the Lord used him to open the eyes a a woman who surrendered her life to Christ.

Thanks to Beth our administrator, Amy, Becky, Janet, Penny, Tom, Gwen, Callie and Kim for volunteering their time to serve our patients.

Thanks to Christ Fellowship for bringing us a wonderful breakfast and lunch.

May God continue to get all the glory!

Praise God for Dr Wright and Paige his assistant for volunteering to come for the Florida Baptist Convention free dental bus again this year. Much thanks to Pastor Eric Phillips from Everglades Baptist Church for sharing the Gospel with our patients. Thanks to Becky the MDU coordinator who volunteers her time to travel all over Florida with the bus. Thanks to our volunteers Amy, Callie, Tom, Janet, and Beth for doing such a great job serving our patients. This year went super smooth. I don't think We had to turn away anyone who showed up which is always such a blessing. Thanks to Oakview church for allowing us fo use their building for the 7th or 8th year and for the ladies who brought all the volunteers a yummy lunch and breakfast. Some of these ladies as part of the faith Sunday school class have financially supported us for many many years. Many sweet conversations were had with the people who came. Many people struggling emotionally and financially; so thankful to share truth and give them hope. We were able to invite many to participate in our free biblical whole health coaching as well as our free ladies book discussion on the excellent wife; and our free wellness program with free mammograms when indicated. Thank You Jesus for how You are working at and through Open Hands Health Center for Your glory.

Praise God for the blessing many received today as Dr Al Warren came from the coast to volunteer his time to serve us here in Okeechobee on the Florida Baptist Convention Dental Bus. Thanks to Beckie Layman, who volunteers her time to travel with the bus all over Florida, thanks to Christ Flowers Ladies of Everglades Baptist Church for supplying an amazing breakfast and lunch for our volunteers, and thanks to Gwen, Beth, Amy, Janet for checking in our patients, Tommaso for being our translator, and Mr Bill for the most important job sharing the Gospel with every one of our patients. May the seeds of truth that were planted today make an eternal difference in the lives of those we helped.

We will be doing extractions only at Oakview tomorrow. We have no spots available, but if you have no dental insurance and financially qualify and want to come and wait to see if we can fit you in (no promises and it will be a long wait), come.

The dental van is set and ready to see patients. God provided volunteer dentists and assistants for Monday morning for fillings, Tuesday all day for extractions and Wednesday morning for extractions.

Open hands office is closed for the week as we are at the dental van at Oakview church. We will not get the phone calls. We will not have time to be checking messenger. Our spots are full. If you want to show up and wait in case there is a cancellation, there is no guarantee that you will be seen, but only those there can be fit in if last minute someone doesn't show.

This Thursday will be an extended hours day for our Women’s Wellness Exam appointments.
