No one likes to make an announcement like this and I have to struggle with the words to say. First, I want to say THANK YOU! Second, I want to say as of today, June 26th we have zero sales. I must let you know that this year’s festival is being cancelled. A lot of time and energy has already gone into making this festival what it is at this point. We have a great platform, website, system and many other features in place to make it happen. In short, we need more hands on deck and perhaps a committee or board to plan and prepare. If you are interested in making sure that DOCOKC can happen for next year, PLEASE let us know. We had to make a choice to cut our losses now as we are not going to make our money back for the expenses we have had to date. No worries! It is worth it as we do love documentary film and it remains our focus.
