The exhibition leads up to the Fiestas de las Americas celebration and will showcase local artists to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.

There will be food trucks for you to enjoy outside the gallery, this is a come and go event.

La Junta Directiva de Calle Dos Cinco en el Histórico Capitol Hill y el Comité de Fiestas de las Americas 2024 están encantados y honrados de anunciar que Mario y Marlene Arenas servirán como Grandes Mariscales del Desfile de las Fiestas de las Américas de este año.

Cada año, se nombra como Mariscal del Desfile de las Américas a una(s) persona(s) cuya labor tenga un impacto significativo dentro de la comunidad Hispana de Oklahoma.

Mario y Marlene son considerados en la comunidad Guatemalteca como representantes y líderes quienes siempre han respondido al llamado para apoyar a las iniciativas de la comunidad. Ambos han sido fundamentales para dar a conocer la cultura y la comunidad Guatemalteca, inculcando el valor de la herencia en las generaciones más jóvenes y enriqueciendo a toda la comunidad de OKC.

Su dedicación personal para promover y celebrar la cultura Latina, a la vez que trabajan como dueños de su propio negocio con Arena Sports Center, ha brindado un gran espacio para toda nuestra comunidad.

A través de Arena Sports Center, han proporcionado un espacio vital para la comunidad, asegurando que los equipos, especialmente aquellos que de otra manera no tendrían un lugar para jugar, tengan acceso a instalaciones de calidad. También apoyan a las ligas que fomentan el deporte entre los jóvenes y en especial luchan por promover el deporte femenino. Al mantener las ligas deportivas a costos razonables y accesibles para la comunidad local, han logrado un impacto duradero en las vidas de muchas personas.

The Calle Dos Cinco in Historic Capitol Hill Board of Directors and the Fiestas de las Americas 2024 Planning Committee are thrilled and honored to announce that Mario and Marlene Arenas will serve as this year's Fiestas de las Américas Parade Grand Marshals.

Each year, individuals whose service has made a significant impact on Oklahoma’s Hispanic community are nominated to serve as the Parade of the Américas Grand Marshals.

This year, Mario and Marlene Arenas have been chosen for their unwavering dedication and leadership within the Guatemalan community. They are well-known advocates who consistently step up to support community initiatives.

Mario and Marlene have been instrumental in raising awareness of Guatemalan culture, preserving its heritage for younger generations, and enriching the broader Oklahoma City community.

As small business owners of Arena Sports Center, they have provided a vital space for the community, ensuring that teams—especially those that might not otherwise have a place to play—have access to quality facilities. Their support for youth sports leagues, particularly in advocating for girls in sports, has had a lasting impact on the lives of many. By keeping sports leagues affordable and accessible, they have made a significant difference in our local community.

We believe their contributions and dedication make them the perfect choice for this honor. Please join us at this year's Parade of the Américas, presented by Bank of Oklahoma, on September 28th, as we celebrate and thank Mario and Marlene for their many contributions.
