Last night, I was able to complete a design for a simple poinsettia mandala. I'll still be working on it and doing a FREE LIVE "Paint with Me" session in December for anyone wanting to paint it themselves.

Playing around with Shuttle Art Metallics. Made a burgundy gradient. 6x6 in canvas panel. Of course the picture sucks LOL I need to figure out how to take pix of metallic paint!
I can’t do my live today. So sorry.
Today, I'm going to start a new 10x10 inch fall Inspired mandala with some extra paints I have sitting around. Color Palette Is red, orange, yellow, browns, greens.
I'll be using dotting tools from Happy Dotting Company and Christina Lee Dot Meditation Âû.

My next challenge for October is using a marigold for inspiration. I don't want a full yellow marigold, then I found this picture of a "French Marigold". I like that it has multiple fire colors - red, orange, and yellow. I can do a gradient for each petal. However, the usual petals aren't going to work here. I'm going to try to work swooshes in as petals. I'll also have to work on the leaves using swooshes as well. This may even be a full swoosh mandala.

WIP I see why David Benjamin loves Shuttle Art ! It's so perfect straight out of the bottle!
Sorry to keep rescheduling my lives, but that root canal took a lot out of me. Some of the water they sprayed in my mouth traveled up to my sinuses because I was lying down. Swelling and pain seems to be under control though. Hoping to feel well enough tomorrow.
