Guess who's got the scoop on free summer eats? This kiddo! Free meals and snacks are available all summer long across central and western Oklahoma through the Regional Food Bank’s Summer Feeding Program.

Parent Promise utilizes the evidence-based strengthening families approach by promoting the five protective factors. These factors help families thrive and promote healthy, happy childhoods! One of the protective factors is 'concrete supports in times of need'. This includes connecting families with community resources and providing them with diapers and other essentials when we have them.

Last week's Parent Promise Family Art Night was so much fun! Artists of all ages unleashed their creativity, and it was a beautiful sight to see! Thanks to all those who joined us to make the night a success! 💙

The Parent Promise office and Family Resource Center will be closed tomorrow in observance of the 4th of July holiday. All of us at Parent Promise wish you a happy, fun, and safe holiday.💙

Meet Michelle Edstrom, who begins serving as President of the Parent Promise Board of Directors today! Michelle is a familiar face around our office, as she has served on the Board of Directors since 2018. We couldn't let this fiscal year end without giving a HUGE shout out to our outgoing Board President, Melanie Rughani. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, Melanie, for your steady leadership during your two-year tenure as board president. Your passion for strengthening Oklahoma's families and supporting our staff and mission in any way possible is contagious. Parent Promise has a fantastic Board of Directors, and we are lucky to have you as a part of it! We look forward to many more years of working together with you in service of Oklahoma children! 💙👏👏

According to the NHTSA, in America 29 children died of heatstroke in vehicles in 2023. These deaths are completely preventable. Take steps to ensure that the little ones in your life are safe in this heat by:
☀Never leave a child in a vehicle for any length of time, even if the windows are rolled down.
☀Always LOOK: Make a habit of thoroughly checking your entire car before exiting.
☀Place a personal item, such as a purse or phone, in the backseat.
☀Write a note or place a stuffed animal in the passenger's seat to remind you that a child is in the backseat.
☀Store car keys out of a child's reach and teach children that a vehicle is not a play area.
☀EVERYONE: Lock your car when not in use to prevent children from playing in it.
☀If you see a child alone in a car, act immediately. Call 911 and attempt to remove the child from the car.
Together, we can prevent hot car deaths! 💙
