It wouldn't be spring in Oklahoma without mosquitos — and with them, a risk of West Nile Virus. But that doesn't mean you can't enjoy your time outdoors! Be sure to remember three D's and a P to avoid exposure. 👇
- Dress in long sleeves and pants to reduce bite risk.
- Use DEET-based repellent products.
- Drain any stagnant water so that mosquitoes can't reproduce.
- Protect yourself while indoors by making sure screens and doors are fully sealed from the outside.
Due to possible severe weather all OCCHD facilities will be closing at 2:00pm today.
Please make sure you have an emergency kit ready, including medicines, bottled water, non-perishable foods, and baby supplies. Be ready to take shelter if necessary.
