Can I be honest? Flat lays are the hardest part of a wedding day for me. As a perfectionist, getting every little object perfectly in place is almost impossible. But I love a good challenge ☺️

To say this man adores this woman would be an understatement. Witnessing Patrick’s love for Madeline was such an honor.

In looking for a wedding photographer, all we had thought about was the way the pictures looked. While researching, I was initially drawn to Aubrey's work because it was so bright and clean looking, all of her photos looked so timeless.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After reaching out and talking with Aubrey, she actually pointed out many other things to consider when choosing a wedding photographer, besides just the look of the photos. For example, she sent me weddings that she shot in churches/cathedrals so I could visualize photos in a venue similar to ours, rather than comparing to an outdoor venue.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I appreciated her transparency and felt like I could trust Aubrey, without even having met her yet. In fact, we didn't meet Aubrey until our wedding day because we live in another state, but this was no problem at all! On the wedding day, it wasn't even a thought in our heads - we went about the entire day like we'd all known each other for a while. Aubrey made us feel comfortable, she had fun with us, and she was very professional all along the way.

Multiple people in our wedding party mentioned to us that our photographer was so fun, sweet, and incredibly talented. We are so grateful that Aubrey captured our day and told the story perfectly.

After the wedding, we worked with her to create our wedding album and it turned out amazing. It's such great quality and something we will have forever - we loved that this was an option in her photo packages. We can't recommend Aubrey enough. Anyone would be lucky to work with her on their wedding day!

I just say that a lot when I’m organizing.

Getting rid of stuff is therapeutic to me. It’s almost as good as having a big bowl of ice cream (you guys know that’s hard to beat in my book)!

For Eric, letting belongings go is a bit more of a struggle. He always jokes that if I had my way, he would come home to a completely empty house. 🏠

So we’ve had a FEW disagreements about this over the years. If only I could throw out those old, sentimental high school t-shirts he doesn’t even fit in anymore!

And yet, even though we’re opposite in some ways, we totally work.

Had a great conversation with a bride last week. She asked, “What if we have bad weather on the wedding day?”

Obviously, everyone loves going outside for portraits. But Oklahoma is the land of the most unpredictable weather -
❄️ Snow in March
🌪 Tornadoes in May and even November
☀️ 30 degrees or 75 degrees in December
💨 Oh yeah, and that Oklahoma wind...

On Beth and Derek’s wedding day, the sun was out, but the winds were so strong they’d blow everyone away. So I searched from top to bottom of their venue (The Mayo) to find the perfect indoor location for their portraits. The results were beautiful and unique!

Indoor portraits should be just as stunning as outdoor ones. I do everything to make sure my couples have the best no matter what!

“Is this the end for us? The end for now?! I can’t believe it!”

Maddy said this to me after I delivered her wedding album. That’s also how I feel when I’ve officially wrapped up a wedding. My brides and I spend months (sometimes over a year) communicating, getting to know each other, and preparing for their big day. Then our time comes to an end - at least as far as the wedding goes. 😢

But it’s never the end. I feel like I have a lifetime connection to my couples. Even if it’s simply through the social media world, I love watching their families grow, cheering them on in chasing their dreams, and living vicariously through their adventures.
