Have you ever been curious about why some cat breeds appear grumpy despite having friendly personalities? Meet Oliver, our adorable kitten, who recently had his new kitten exam. 😾

Oliver belongs to a breed known for its unique facial structure, which often gives the impression of a perpetually stern expression. This phenomenon is primarily influenced by genetics, specifically the development of facial muscles and bone structure.

But here's the fascinating part: Oliver's "grumpy" look is just a quirk of his breed, and his personality is quite the opposite! He's an inquisitive and affectionate kitten, always ready for playtime and cuddles. 😺

Understanding the genetic factors that contribute to a cat's appearance not only deepens our appreciation for feline diversity but also reminds us not to judge a book by its cover. The next time you encounter a cat with an intense expression, take a moment to discover the charming personality behind that unique look. ❀️🐾

On this special day, we send our warmest wishes for a Valentine's Day filled with love and happiness. But it's not just any love we're celebrating today; it's the deep bond we share with you and your cherished pets that warms our hearts.

You and your pets bring a unique joy into our lives, and for that, we are profoundly grateful. Your trust in us is a gift we cherish every day.

Allow us to introduce you to River, a sweetheart who has stolen not just our attention but our hearts as well. πŸ•β€οΈ River, like all of our beloved patients, brightens our days and inspires us to embrace the beauty of unconditional love.

We eagerly anticipate all the special moments to come with you and your pet. Happy Valentine's Day from all of us at Classen View Veterinary Clinic! 🌟❀️🐾

Today, we're over the moon to spotlight the significance of senior wellness care, featuring our beloved team member, Halle, and our cherished senior pup, Pearl. 🌟 Pearl came to us for her senior lab work and a spa-worthy bath, and we couldn't have been more thrilled to provide her with top-notch care. πŸ›πŸΎ

At Classen View Veterinary Clinic, senior wellness care goes beyond the basics; it's about understanding and addressing the unique needs of our aging pets. Pearl's lab work is a vital part of her wellness journey. πŸ§ͺ It enables us to closely monitor her health, catching any age-related changes early on. Our experienced team ensures that the entire process is comfortable and stress-free for Pearl. 😌

But we also understand that senior pet care isn't limited to lab work. It extends to every aspect of their well-being, including bathing and grooming. 🚿 At home, bathing a senior dog like Pearl can be a challenging task. Lifting them into a slippery bathtub can be stressful for both the pet and the owner. It can even be physically exhausting for our senior companions to balance in a slippery tub.

That's where we step in to make things easier and more comfortable for you and your furry friend. πŸ€— We have a genuine affection for senior pets, and our facilities are perfectly equipped to provide them with a relaxing bath. Our team possesses valuable experience and skills in tending to aging coats, ensuring that Pearl not only looked her best but also felt absolutely wonderful. 🌈❀️

So, if you have a senior companion like Pearl, know that Classen View Veterinary Clinic is here to make their senior wellness journey as seamless, comfortable, and enjoyable as possible.

We get itβ€”being away from your pets can be tough. That's why at Classen View Veterinary Clinic, we're dedicated to making sure your pets are as comfortable as possible while you're apart.

Just look at Snowball, the epitome of relaxation! 😻 That loose, lounge-y pose and the contented expression say it all. Snowball was even happily "making biscuits" in her cozy cat bed before settling down for a warm winter’s nap.

Our team goes the extra mile to ensure all our boarded animals feel at home. From cuddles to playtime, we provide the love and care they need.

So, when you need to be away, you can trust us to keep your furry friends comfortable and content. Every pet deserves to feel as relaxed as Snowball! 🐱🏨❀️

Lucia cradled Tarzan close to her heart, and as she gently stroked his fur, you could see a sense of peace wash over him. Her soothing presence and soft words whispered promises of care and safety. πŸ‘πŸ’–

Winston, our lovable feline friend, reached a significant milestone today as he experienced his very first nail trim at our clinic! πŸ±πŸ’… We understand that nail trims can be a bit nerve-wracking, especially for a first-timer like Winston, but he handled it like a true champ.

To ensure Winston's visit was as cozy and enjoyable as possible, our fantastic team members, Lucia and Sydney, not only expertly trimmed his nails but also indulged him with his all-time favorite Churu snacks. πŸ–

It was heartwarming to witness Winston's initial apprehension transform into sheer delight. Those Churu snacks had his whiskers twitching, and he couldn't resist showing off his post-trim joy by striking a pose for an impromptu photoshoot! πŸ“ΈπŸŽ‰

Winston, your joyful spirit brightened our day, and we're so grateful to be a part of your journey towards becoming a well-groomed and contented kitty. πŸŒŸπŸ’– Thank you for trusting us with your care, and we can't wait to see you again soon! 🐾😺

Hello, wonderful pet parents! It's Harper from the team, here with an important winter health tip for your furry family members. 🌨️ Even though the weather outside is frightful and December has brought the chill, let's not forget about heartworm and flea prevention for our pets.

Just because it's cold doesn't mean these pesky parasites take a holiday break! Continuous protection is key to keeping our beloved pets healthy and happy all year round. Heartworms can be transmitted by mosquitoes, which can survive in milder winter temperatures, and fleas can thrive indoors.

So, as you enjoy the holiday season and cozy up with your pets, remember to stay on top of their preventative care. A monthly dose can make all the difference in keeping these unwanted guests away.

Thanks for keeping your pets' health a top priority, and if you have any questions or need to stock up on preventatives, our doors are always open. Stay warm and stay protected!

Warm winter wishes from Harper and the team! πŸ•β€πŸ¦ΊπŸˆ

'Twas the holiday season, with cheer in the air,
Homes filled with laughter, love everywhere.
In this time of joy, let's not forget,
The playful dogs and cats, the best pets we could get.

With tails wagging in the frosty breeze,
Dogs prance around, full of holiday glee.
Their eyes like stars, shining so bright,
Bringing warmth to the cold winter nights.

Cats with their grace, purring so light,
Curled up in balls, a delightful sight.
Whiskers a-twitch in the soft firelight,

They dream of yuletide in the quiet night.
Together they play, in the snow so white,
Leaving tiny paw prints, under the moonlight.
With jingle bells ringing, they dance with delight,
In this magical season, they're our joyous highlight.

So here's to our companions, both furry and small,
Who fill our lives with love, and give their all.
May your holidays be merry, your spirits bright,
With dogs and cats by your side, everything's just right.

Happy Holidays to all, both two-legged and four,
May this season bring happiness, love, and much more.
With each wag and purr, let's remember to say,
Our pets bring the best gifts, each and every day.

The holidays are here, but not all festive foods are pet-friendly! Here are our top 5 tips to keep your furry friends safe:

No Chocolate or Sweets: Keep chocolates and sweets, especially those containing xylitol, out of paw's reach.

Avoid Grapes & Raisins: These can be toxic for pets, even in small amounts.
Say No to Onions & Garlic: Common in holiday cooking, but harmful to pets.
Beware of Bones & Fatty Foods: They can cause choking hazards and upset stomachs.

Secure the Trash: Ensure leftovers and food scraps are disposed of where pets can't get to them.

Stay vigilant and have a safe, pet-friendly holiday season! πŸŽ…πŸ•πŸˆ

🐾 Meet Gracie, the star of our heartwarming holiday story. A few nights ago, in the brisk winter air, a kind-hearted Good Samaritan named Jordan discovered this sweet pup shivering and alone. Without hesitation, Jordan sheltered Gracie from the cold and brought her to us for a microchip scan.

Imagine our joy when we discovered Gracie's microchip! But that's not all - her family, who lives almost an hour away from OKC, has been searching for her since MAY! They were overjoyed to hear she was safe and are now on their way for a long-awaited reunion.

This beautiful tale highlights the incredible power of microchips in reuniting lost pets with their families. After 6 months apart, Gracie is finally going home, just in time for the holidays.

What a magical reminder of hope and the unbreakable bond between pets and their families. πŸ’–πŸ

Brrr, it's getting chilly out there! Our furry friend Carson from Classen View Veterinary Clinic has a special message for all the pets: Bundle up, it's cold outside! 🧣🧀

Carson knows that staying warm isn't just cozy, it's important for keeping our pets healthy during these frosty days. Whether it's a snug sweater, a soft blanket, or a warm indoor spot, let's make sure our animal companions are comfortable and protected from the chilly weather.

Remember, if it's too cold for you, it's probably too cold for them too. Keep an eye out for signs that your pet might be feeling the cold, and take steps to ensure they stay toasty.

From Carson and the caring team at Classen View Vet, let's spread the warmth this season. Stay safe, stay warm, and keep those tail wags coming, no matter the weather! β„οΈπŸ•β€πŸ¦ΊπŸˆβ€β¬›

🐾✨ Hey there, hoomans and furry pals! Mary the Doggo here with a tail-waggin’ important health message for all my two-legged friends out there. πŸ•β€πŸ¦Ίβœ¨

Today, I want to yap about something that keeps us canines healthy and our tails wagging for longer – it’s the magic of Regular Vet Check-ups! πŸ₯πŸ‘©β€βš•οΈ

As we snuffle through the grass and play fetch, we might not always show it when something's bugging us. We're tough cookies, but even the strongest of pups need a helping paw sometimes. That's where our vets come in - they're like superheroes with stethoscopes!

Here are some pawsome reasons why you should keep up with our check-ups:

1. Sniffing Out Problems Early - Vets have a superpower; they can detect things we might hide, like a sneaky flea or a tummy trouble brewing. Early detection? More playtime and less ouchies!

2. Vaccinations Are Cool - Shots might pinch a teeny bit, but they protect us from scary diseases like rabies and distemper. I’m all for fewer ouches and more belly rubs!

3. Dental Delights - We love to chew, but without proper dental care, our pearly whites can turn into not-so-pearly yellows. Regular cleanings keep our toothy grins sparkly and our breath not-so-funky. 😁

4. Weight Watching - Treats are awesome, but too many and we start to waddle instead of run. Vets help keep our diet in check so we can fit into our harnesses and chase squirrels like pros.

5. Fur-tastic Skin and Coat - Itchy skin and dull coats are no fun. Vets can help us look fab and feel comfy, minus the scratching.

6. Behavioral Bits - If we're acting a bit weird, there might be something up. Vets can figure out if it’s just a quirk or something more, and help us get back to our happy, zoomie selves.

So, dear hoomans, please remember to schedule our vet visits and keep us wagging healthily into our golden years. We promise to reward you with extra snuggles, loyalty, and all the unconditional love you can handle. 🐢❀️

Stay pawsitive and healthy,
Mary πŸΎπŸ’•
