DAV Nationals 2024 in Phoenix Arizona is a wrap! Your Neurolumen Crew did more than just treat at the booth. We also worked our magic as Auxiliary members for our Unit! We hosted a hospitality room where we fed 550 veterans breakfast AND lunch! We attended the business sessions and even served on committees. We are so blessed to have an amazing team that pours their hearts into everything they do. We also had help from the AZ auxiliary as well! Amazing work ladies!! We also want to shoutout our auxiliary members for helping us cook and prepare the food before we left. Shelly and Hannah could not do all of this without our village and we are so grateful for each one of you. We truly have the most amazing people in our corner to support our crazy ideas but they always come to life bigger than we ever could have imagined. Thank you thank you thank you to every last one of you. ❤️
We had the honor of attending the National Veterans Wheelchair Games! These veterans have overcome so much and still have the biggest smiles on their faces. Another event where we are just awestruck by results after one treatment of the Neurolumen. Check out our videos posted earlier this week. Best of luck to all the athletes competing!! 💪🎉
Thanks for stopping by our booth and don't forget that this is no cost to veterans through their VA. Give us a call to find out more! ❤️

On this day in 1768, the Boston Gazette published America's First Patriotic song called "The Liberty Song" by John Dickinson. It was sung throughout the colonies.

Kolby & Hannah had such an extraordinary time at the American Legion Convention for Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands! They also had in-services with the San Juan VA and the Mayaguez clinic. We are going to get those doors opened up more and continue to help veterans in that area. It was amazing to see the veterans that already have their units and Neurolumen has improved their quality of life in ways they did not think was possible. ❤️
Today we recognize National PTSD Awareness Day. Post-traumatic stress disorder impacts millions of our current service members and veterans. We continue to be hopeful for treatment and ways to help those in need.

Today we celebrate the Birthday of the United States Coastal Auxiliary. In all of our different branches of the U.S. Armed Forces there are Active Duty men & women, and those branches are then supplemented by Reserve forces such as the Army Reserve, Air Force Reserve, etc., but a non-military and unpaid civilian auxiliary exists for two branches: the Air Force and Coast Guard.
The Coast Guard is considered military service. However, an important distinction is that is is not a of the Defense Department, like its counterparts in the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps. The auxiliary is made up of an unpaid force of Volunteers. There is even a virtual museum you can visit at: https://wow.uscgaux.info/content.php?unit=A-DEPT&category=history-museum
“I truly believe that Andrew is why I'm here today,” said Veteran Neil Byalick.
“I started to have severe problems not knowing what was happening to me. Andrew [George] came to my rescue and pulled me from my darkest moment,” Byalick wrote in The DAISY Award nomination. “His calmness and great skills helped me stay calm and know that I was going to be okay.”
Andrew George, an RN at Tennessee Valley Healthcare System, sprung into action, ultimately saving Byalick's life by preventing the heart attack he was experiencing from progressing. Had it not been for George’s commitment to zero harm and preoccupation with failure, Byalick may have died on the operating table that morning if the team continued with the surgery.

A huge thank you to the Florida DAV for allowing us to participate in your conference. We eagerly await what this year holds for you! We lived dressing up for your Caribbean themed party!
Happy Juneteenth! Today we commemorate the day in 1865 that Union Troops arrived in Galveston, TX almost two years after President Lincoln had signed laws that emancipated enslaved Africans in America. Between 1861-1900 more than 90 institutions of higher education were founded for the nearly four million newly freed African Americans. Juneteenth was not a federal holiday until recent times, and continues to be largely unknown to most Americans. Juneteenth shows the value of never giving up hope in uncertain times while continuing to work towards equality for all people.

From your friends at Neurolumen - we wish all the Dads, Grandpas, Uncles, and Father Figures out there a very Happy Father's Day! 💙🧡
Today we also wish the United States Army a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Here are a few facts you may or may not have knows about this branch of our Military.
The Army is older than our country; 24 US Presidents served in the Army; There are Army Astronauts who have served at the International space station; If the Army was an actual city, it would be the 10th largest in the USA; which also ties into the fact that the Army owns so much land (over 15 million acres), it would be larger than Hawaii or Massachusetts; the Army has over 158 installations worldwide; the Army was the last branch to adopt an official song; we currently have about 1,600 dogs in the armed forces while the Army employs over one million in personnel.
Happy Birthday and we salute all of our Current and Veteran United States Army Members. We are in gratitude of your service!

Happy American Flag Day! Today is the day we celebrate our "Stars & Stripes". Here is a little interesting History you may not have known.
Until the Declaration of Independence, each colony or special interest had their own flag. The Revolutionary War was fought under various flags and symbols such as rattlesnakes, eagles, pine trees and also slogans like "Liberty or Death". While folklore names a woman named Betsy Ross as creator of our flag, there is no actual proof. Records do show how she inspired as she ensigns and pennants for the Philadelphia Navy. One of our first flag designs had starts in a circle to show equal importance of all colonies. In 1818 Congress decided to change our stripes to the current 13 and add stars each time a state entered into the union. Today we proudly fly our current 13 stripe flag with 50 Stars representing our 50 states. 🇺🇸

Today is Women's Veterans Day where we celebrate the 76th anniversary of groundbreaking legislation for America's military women. Women have been a part of the U.S. Military dating all the way back to the Revolutionary War, yet their contributions have often been overlooked or undervalued. We hope the recognition that this day brings our Women Veterans will continue to inspire the future generations of women to pursue careers and the military. We thank you ladies for all of your service to our country and for the sacrifices you made to blaze a trail for those that come after you.

D-Day landings are of great significance as they represent a major turning point in World War II. Less than a year after the troops stormed Normandy, the Allies formally accepted surrender from N**i Germany. The events of that day forged partnerships and reinforced trans-Atlantic bonds that remain strong today. This year it has been 80 years since D-Day which is also known as the Allied Invasion of Normandy.
Some D-Day facts:
✅ D-Day was scheduled one day earlier but due to weather concerns, General Eisenhower moved the date to June 6th.
✅150,000 Allied Soldiers landed on the shores of Normandy
✅5,000 Vessels with 30,000 vehicles crossed the English Channel to France.
✅13,000 men parachuted into France
✅11,000 planes were involved
"I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty, and skill in battle. We will accept nothing less than full victory." - excerpt from speech given the day prior from Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower
