Single-Family Starts Weaken in June Overall housing starts increased 3.0% in June to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.35 million units, according to a report from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the U.S. Census Bureau.

Housing Price and Rent Growth Expectations Increase Households expect home price growth to increase to 5.1% over the next 12 months, up from 2.6% a year ago, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s 2024 SCE Housing Survey that was released this week. This is their second highest reading in the survey’s history.
