Thursday, October 24th at 7:00pm
The meetings should last about 90 minutes.
If interested go to our website - okdisasterhelp.org - and go to the orientation/credentialing tab - fill out the Training pre-registration information toward the bottom of that page. When selecting a time and location choose the zoom call you want to participate in. Then after finishing form, you will be directed to fill out the background check. Once that registration is complete and submitted, we will email you the zoom link for the option you selected.

Oklahoma Disaster Relief volunteers continue to respond to Hurricane Francine in Morgan City, LA, as we begin week 3 of bringing help, hope, and healing to those in that community.
Please join us in praying for the families still in need in Louisiana and for all those impacted by Hurricane Helene across multiple states. The need for help is great and the response and recovery need will be extensive and lengthy.
Oklahoma has been asked to come help and we will respond AFTER we finish our work in Louisiana.
Our volunteers have been busy this year - giving over 35,000 volunteer hours to date.

Here is a glimpse at the work DR volunteers have done so far this year …..
We have recorded over 30,000 volunteer hours- which equal about 4,200 days, completed over 600 work requests, prepared over 24,000 meals, made about 2,500 contacts resulting in about 250 Gospel presentations that yielded 14 professions of faith!
We currently have our 3rd team serving in Ruidoso, New Mexico and have teams continuing to do day work in Claremore and other areas impacted by spring and early summer storms.
We need you to consider becoming part of this incredible volunteer ministry team. Fall orientation and training dates include-

Join us in praying for our Oklahoma panhandle families impacted by the flash flooding over night. Multiple homes with up to 3’ of water. Pray for your DR volunteers as we work to coordinate our response with our flood recovery teams, feeding, assessors, chaplains, shower/laundry, and incident management.

As you continue to pray and support our response efforts here in Oklahoma, lift up a prayer for New Mexico and the areas being impacted by the current wildfires. As of this morning between 18,000- 20,000 acres burned and fires are 0% contained.
Oklahoma update- Oklahoma volunteers along with a team from Kansas/Nebraska continue to work in Claremore. The rising temperatures add to the challenges with the clean-up efforts.

Thankful for students partnering with DR in the Giving Hope mission project at Falls Creek!
This summer at Falls Creek Youth Camp students are putting together ‘first day kits’ (toiletry items) to be given to those in need after disasters. They are also writing notes/drawing pictures on packing paper to be given along with boxes/totes to families as they try to recover belongings from the destruction.
Thank you students for partnering with us to bring help, hope, and healing to those that are hurting.
Saturday, June 8th, from 8:30am-12:30pm, we will offer our first ‘deployment’ orientation and credentialing. Event will be held at King Road Baptist Church in Claremore where we are currently set up and responding to the recent tornadoes in N.E. Oklahoma.
