Welcome to Seasons in the Shop, a tiny interview series about the listening habits of the Guestroom employees. We’re kicking it off with store owner, Justin Sowers.

-What are three albums on your fall playlist?
Misfits Legacy of Brutality, Nick Drake Bryter Layter, and Cramps …Off the Bone are October vibes.

-Do you consider yourself a seasonal music listener?
Not particularly, though sad singer songwriters always come in fall. A lot of Aimee Mann lately.

-What song have you listened to an embarrassing number of times most recently?
Definitely How Am I Different off Mann’s Bachelor No. 2.

‼️Thanks to our friends at 1-2-3-4 Go Records, we have a load of great giveaways in store for our Pinhead Gunpowder listening party on tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 15.
As part of our prize drawings tomorrow night, we’ll be giving away a red-vinyl copy and test pressing of “Unt,” both signed by the full band. We also have the band’s discography of previously released LPs and 7” records to give away (no purchase required/need to be present to win)
Our “Unt” listening party starts at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, both Norman and OKC shops.

We’re having a party in Norman tonight. These new releases will be there.

Big fun time at the Norman shop the Friday during ArtWalk. We have Ganx DJ-ng on the walk out front and and starting around 7pm. Also a costume contest for those who want a chance at some Guestroom Gift Certificates. You should come. 🎨 by

Job Requirements:
* 1+ year of customer service experience or
* 1+ year professional music industry experience or
* Demonstrable knowledge of a wide range of music
* Flexibility to work mostly weekends and evenings shifts in both Norman & OKC locations
* Phone - must have to one
We only strongly prefer:
* Previous record store experience / experience buying and selling records
* Wide knowledge of most genres of music
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and retail POS systems
* Genuine enjoyment for social interactions and helping store customers.
