This is a sample from The Ultimate Sewing Machine class we took at BERNINA University. We played with jumbo stitches and used the camera to do appliqué, all with the sewing portion of the machine. No embroidery module used here.

Check out this Crazy Quilted Pillow! All you need is a serger that can do a flat lock stitch. All of our sergers can do this but the L8’s flat lock is🧑‍🍳 💋. Also, an idea for using decorative stitches is to make some of your own fabric for the special denim pieces adding an extra patriotic touch.

Quick reminder that the amount of time you have to wait for your machine to be serviced is always directly proportionate to how big a hurry you’re in.
