September is National Su***de Awareness Month. When people come to The WARM Place, their grieving hearts connect with one another for the saddest reasons. However, the magic is that they find commonality in their pain and a feeling of hope knowing they do not grieve alone. Yes, su***de is a different type of loss. But there is one important similarity to all death losses. Survivors of su***de did not choose for their loved ones to die. And that grief—not wanting your loved one to die—is the same. ***deAwarenessMonth ***deGrieversBillOfRights

Happy Calm Waters anniversary to the one who makes our world go round!
Heather Gaglio has been the Clinical Director of Calm Waters for FIVE years! This year is extra special because she is wearing a new hat as Interim CEO.
We couldn't have grown so much or served so many families in the past five years without her vision and leadership. Before she came along, Calm Waters didn't even have a counseling clinic. She has done amazing things in her time with us and we could not be more grateful for her steadfast spirit and endlessly compassionate heart.
Happy anniversary, Heather!
Two years of Tooley! Help us celebrate Abby Tooley's 2nd Calm Waters anniversary!
Abby Tooley is our Program Coordinator overseeing Student Support Groups and Community Partnerships. She also is an LMFT-Candidate and sees private counseling clients. She does it all!
We could not imagine our office without her daily kindness, unlimited compassion and endearing goofiness. Happy anniversary, Abby Tooley!

DIVORCE SUPPORT GROUPS: Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., every other week, August through June.
In order to attend divorce support groups, children must be aware that parents are divorcing. Co-parents who were never married and going through a custody change may also attend. Divorce support groups are for ages 3 to adult.
Family members are divided into age appropriate groups including children groups, teen groups, young adult and adult groups. All family members may attend or a single adult; minors cannot attend groups without a guardian present. Both parents are welcome to attend, we have at least two adult groups, therefore each co-parent may attend their own group. Consistent attendance is most beneficial for the family.
Register for a divorce support group online at: https://www.calmwaters.org/calm-waters-divorce-support-group-registration-form/
For all groups, once your online registration form has been received, a Calm Waters’ staff member will contact you to schedule an intake appointment prior to the beginning of groups. The intake appointment determines group readiness and is required for all who want to attend a Calm Waters group.
PARENTING THROUGH DIVORCE SEMINARS: The Calm Waters Parenting Through Divorce (PTD) seminar is offered three times each month and is a court-approved seminar. A $50 fee is required.
