It’s been a busy day of YAG recruitment meetings at Ardmore, Classen SAS, and Putnam City West High Schools!

If you have a high school student interested in Mock Trial, Speech & Debate, Politics, Journalism & Broadcasting, Public Speaking, Government, Law, Fashion, Power Suits, Dancing, Singing, Research, Chants, Spirit Fingers, Pin Trading, Leadership, Policy, Traveling to State and National conferences, Advocacy and networking with people from diverse backgrounds then look no further than Oklahoma YMCA Youth & Government!

Our OKYAG State Officers are hosting a fun “training camp” on September 28th and we would like to invite students that are in OKYAG, students interested in joining YAG, or new schools that would like to get a club started. Flyer and sign up is below!

Did you know we have over 30 high school OKYAG clubs in Oklahoma!?! (Ardmore, OKC, Tulsa, Edmond/Deer Creek, Perry, Weatherford, Moore, Norman, and in between!)

We also have a middle school program YAG program, too!

We are bringing back CLUB OFFICER TRAINING DAY this year! What is CLUB OFFICER TRAINING DAY YOU ASK?
This is a day where your school club leadership/officers attend to learn about club management, recruitment, training days, and more!
This is also a day where we invite students that do not currently have a club at school and are interested in starting a cub
We also would like to invite any students that may not hold a leadership/officer position in their YAG school clubs to attend and learn how they can help boost their clubs and be apart of the RECRUITMENT TEAM!

This day is FREE but space is limited due to space location.

Today the Y sent our LARGEST-EVER delegation of young leaders to Capitol Hill to advocate for topics important to them, including civics education funding, violence prevention, community projects and more. The future is bright!
