Fun fact about shoes:

The first shoe measurement was in barleycorn.
Until the 1300s, there was no standard for shoe measurements. King Edward II decided to use barleycorns as a means of standardized shoe measurements.

In his system, three barleycorns equaled one inch, and this was the basis for the first shoe sizes.

This past weekend we had a humbling experience providing shoes for the needy at Sister BJ’s Pantry. A special thanks to the shoe companies that donated shoes to the Oklahoma Pedorthist Association; Drew Shoes, Anodyne Shoes, and Dr Comfort Shoes.
Michele Garthright, Nora Marquez, Olga Modesto, Marti and Gary Parker, and Amy Young all helped out! Also, Bomba socks were provided by Gabriela Chavez.
We hope to make this an annual event!
