My God today! This was a tough year but I was able to accomplish one goal this year. Real estate IS NOT EASY LOL. Late nights, driving all over the place, getting turned down, big checks one month, NO CHECKS for SEVERAL MONTHS 😂😒😒. But I'm still in it and I enjoy what I do. Went to the bank today to cash a check and on the way to my car I started a conversation with a senior lady as she exited. Of course I asked if she knew anyone thinking about purchasing or selling a home and she replied that she actually needed to speak with someone about the process. She said she had been living in an apartment and she never rented before. As she revealed some of her situation about her life and how she was struggling to pay her taxes (that’s why she was at the bank) tears came to her eyes. She knew the value of homeownership and longed for the days when she had her own space and independence. I tried my best to encourage her that it’s never too late to go for what you want and if you’re diligent and disciplined you will achieve it. More so she did have a place to live and the money to pay her taxes when many people didn’t have a place of residence or money to handle their responsibilities.

It’s funny because I had to encourage this lady whom I didn’t know about some of the same issues I struggle with. God knows your wants and needs and has already made provisions for us to achieve what we desire. We’re all going through something and some issues are bigger than others. But we have to focus on what we can control and let God do the rest. Selling a house is great and it makes me a living. However my prayer is that the people I meet have hope that things will be ok in the end with a plan, faith in that plan, and action.

"Under Contract/Pending/In Escrow" means that the seller and buyer have agreed to terms and and are advancing through the steps (inspections, final loan approval, appraisal). It's not a done deal but the beginning of a business relationship to eventually "close" and both parties get what they want.
