http://www.landworkspro.com/rebuilding-a-clay-and-mudd-pie-driveway/
Rebuilding 250 Ft a clay-filled driveway that is about 13" thick with clay and mud. The trick to fixing a driveway like this is removing the loose clay and mud down to the hardpan then layout the driveway fabric. The fabric I use is 12.5 wide by whatever length that is needed and in my opinion is absolutely required if you want to get rid of any sinkholes and you want the driveway to last. After the fabric is down then you want at least 4 to 6 inches minimum of a screened bank run for the top. We use a skid steer with an Erskin 6-Way Dozer blade to spread and even out the driveway. Also on our skid steer, we are using new rubber tracks from (https://www.rubbertrackswarehouse.com) which works perfectly for tracking in and packing down the driveway. After the driveway is packed, we then use a vibrating roller to smooth the surface and provide an additional hard-packed top.

Many times customers will also put a nice limestone top to eliminate almost all the mud from the driveway. It is also important that the limestone is also tracked and packed down.

This project was in Portville New York we used a John Deere 323E Skidsteer with a 86" toothed bucket, Erskin 6-Way Dozer blade, and a Vibrating roller for accessories. We hauled the material using a 16' PJ dump trailer and hired in a 20-ton dump truck to help in hauling material.

This project took about 70 tons of screened bank run, 250 Ft of driveway fabric, and about 2 days to complete including hauling in the material.

Installing Tracks on John Deere 323E and then Snow Plowing but something happened!

Installing tracks on a Skid Steer is no easy job, especially at the weight of 500 lbs each, and finding those tricks to install can also be tricky. One thing for sure, I’m glad I have a 35G Mini to help with the job!
After some research, I finally found the right place to purchase my tracks. Rubber Tracks Warehouse, the makers of Grizzly Rubber Tracks. These guys had everything I was looking for, including excellent sales service and fast delivery.

The next trick was finding the right tracks for my John Deere 323E. In determining the correct size tracks, there are a few things you need to know about selecting the right track type, style along with getting the right size to fit your machine.
(Source: https://www.rubbertrackswarehouse.com/)

Three Steps to Measure Your Rubber Track Size.

1. Measure the Width of the Track in millimeters.
2. Measure the Pitch in millimeters which is the distance between the center two links.
3. Count the total number of links in the Track. Links are also known as drive lugs or teeth.

How to find and measure your Guide Size

What are rubber track guides and guide systems? The guiding system is the system of wheels that interlock with the links inside a rubber track. The part of the rubber track that interlocks with the guide system are called the guide. The guide is made up of links, and in-between the links, it’s essential to know the guide’s size or pitch to prevent your replacement track from breaking, jamming, or being thrown (jump track) from the guide system.

1. Measure the distance between the outer bottoms of two links across from each other. This is called the Outside Guide Bottom (OG).
2. Measure the distance between the inner bottoms of two links across from each other. This is called the Inside Guide Bottom (IG).
3. Measure the height of the link from outside the trough. This is called the Outside Height (OH).
4. Measure the height of the link from outside the trough. This is called the In

Rubber Track Rollers Types

There are two main types of rubber track rollers (center and fl**ge) and two main sub-types of each. Center rollers run between the links of a rubber track. These two types of center rollers are usually called W and X. Fl**ge rollers run along the outside of the links of a rubber track. The two types of fl**ge rollers are usually called Y and Z.

Rebuild a small driveway and finished with Limestone. This project was at my neighbor, and I used three different John Deere machines. A John Deere 110 TLB Backhoe, John Deere 323E Skid steer, and a John Deere 35G Mini Excavator. Hauled away about 11 tons of black top, sod and concert. Using the Google Maps map creator, I had estimated it would take about 11 tons of Limestone. The final project took, 6 tons of bank run and 10.2 tons of Limestone.

Damn!!! I bought this no name roller to work on a John Deere Skid steer and discovered something seriously wrong! It wouldn’t fit my John Deere skid steer because the skid steer plate was wrong plus the hydraulic cables were also incorrect. Let see if we can fix it.
This project took about 2 days, purchased a few parts from John Deere, and Amazon to get it back up and running.
