-Consider Nitrous Oxide or anti-anxiety medications.
-Having healthy teeth and gums is the best possible way to avoid the Dr.’s drill while boosting your self-confidence as well as reducing anxiety.

It is very important to remember that dental fear and phobia can be treated. Without treatment a phobia will likely worsen over time. Tell our Doctor's about your feelings, concerns and fears. We don’t want to hurt you! Together we will overcome dental anxiety by working together.

Good oral health helps you enjoy life. It lets you: speak clearly; taste, chew, and swallow delicious and nutritious foods; and show your feelings through facial expressions such as smiling. If you protect your oral health with good oral hygiene practices (brushing and flossing), the odds are in your favor you can keep your teeth for a lifetime.

GUM CARE MONTH 🦷✨

Excessive brushing can cause your gums to recede. For the most effective tooth brushing that won’t damage gum tissue or enamel, hold your toothbrush at a 45-degree angle and move the bristles in gentle circular motions. Avoid brushing teeth with abrasive substances.

☀️HEAT WAVE 🌞

This is a fairly obvious and all too common problem. Many of us will have woken up with a dry mouth but this can happen during our waking hours too, especially when the weather is hot. In addition to being an unpleasant sensation, a dry mouth also encourages growth in the number of potentially harmful bacteria in the mouth. These bacteria can attack not only the enamel of your teeth, increasing the risk of tooth decay, but also your gums. Gum diseases such as gingivitis and periodontitis are more likely if you don’t drink enough liquids and become dehydrated.

Whatever you do for the next few days, please stay safe and take sensible precautions against the heat. Keep your teeth and gums healthy too by staying well hydrated.
