Happy 6th (and last) Anniversary to A. Blake Law, LLC. Maintaining a successful business for the last six years has been a tremendous source of pride. The fact this firm survived its first month, then years, and through a pandemic, is kind of remarkable. As always, I give credit to my clients who trusted me with their legal issues. Closing the doors on my terms is a gift that not every business owner experiences.

This anniversary, I announce I have accepted an attorney position at Polaris Law Group, an estate planning firm located in St. Charles, Missouri. I am excited to apply all the skills learned and experience gained during the last six years at A. Blake Law, seven years as a licensed attorney, to this fast-growing office.

Neat fact about the Arch. Anyone else's stomach drop at the sight of 4 people (at least 5 w/photographer) casually standing on top of the Arch?

Whether you are flying high in the sky or see the Gateway Arch shining in the night, you can’t miss the bright red beacon atop the monument, but do you know the man behind the light? Allow us to introduce you to Silas Garrett, the African American United States Army Engineer who petitioned the City of St. Louis to add a light. Garrett, a former pilot, knew the importance of having a guiding light at the top of the Gateway Arch, given the height and shape. Not only did he petition for the light he also built the light. Barred owls do not migrate or travel far at all! They tend to stay close to their home territories. During incubation, the female will lay on the eggs and the male will bring food to his mate. They mostly eat small mammals, including mice, rabbits and squirrels.
