Why, yes, it has been over 6 months since I've last posted...

A LOT has happened. Depression and holidays took over for a while, and then we moved!

So things have been a lot less productive this summer than they were last year. However, I have taken a deep dive into working with polymer clay and realize that I love doing that more than tumblers.

I will still be making tumblers occasionally. But as we start gearing up for Fall Festival in Olney (we will be returning this year), I will be focusing more on my button pictures as well as lots of magnets, some ornaments, and these beauties!

I would love to say that October was more productive, but between a birthday, sickness, and Halloween costumes for the kids, there wasn’t much time to spend in the workshop. I did, however, manage to find some time for two causes close to my heart.

October is both Breast Cancer Awareness month and Infant/Pregnancy Loss Awareness month.

Getting ready to switch gears into fall items for the website... and I CANNOT WAIT!

Fall and Halloween are my absolute favorites, so be on the lookout for an extra large product drop in the next couple of months!

It's summer (tomorrow 😂) and we've been working hard over the past couple of months.

Trying something new and doing a "Hello May" social media challenge with one of my crafting groups. Today's prompt is to post something colorful... so I figured it was the perfect time to show off some of the tumblers that will be available for Pride Month in June! I can’t explain

First of my summer themed buttons is done!

The sand was a lot trickier than I thought it would be in the planning stages, but it was fun getting to expand into other media besides just the buttons and paint.

I'm hoping to get a few others done in the next couple of weeks that will be available as soon as our EIN issue is fixed and our website can go live!

I have to wait on supplies for my summer pieces, so I figured I would take the time to finish up this one for myself.

It was a sketching night tonight...

No, I'm not a fine artist, or even a person who draws (for those who aren't aware, drawing is really HARD, and I marvel at anyone who can do it well). These are not the finished products, but they are the first step in how I make my button pictures.

I purposefully keep the sketches simple because I only need the guidelines. Sketches get transferred to canvas, then painted and covered in buttons and beads, so any super fine details would get covered up in the "button sculpting" process anyway.

A Study In Pink... I had a customer ask for a Breast Cancer Awareness themed tumbler but wasn't sure what style, so I used the opportunity to practice a few different techniques.

Which one is your favorite?

We had a small hiccup in the business paperwork, so it's taking a little longer to get our EIN back (which we need to set up a payment system on our website). But I'm hard at work getting together some things that will be ready to sell as soon as the website goes live!

We're legal! We received the paperwork today, that we are now officially ADhesion Crafts, LLC.

I want to send huge thank yous to everyone who has been there from the beginning of this journey, believing in me more than I believe in myself... I'll get there one day.

Please be patient with us as we get things "properly" set up. We are working on an official website and possible payment options. I'll keep everyone updated as things get underway!

Teaching myself how to do alcohol inks this week... They're so much fun!!

Mostly, I learned that I don't need the approval of fine artists. The things I make are appreciated by the people who need to appreciate them. If you think it's "not art" because it's not super intricate drawings made with ridiculously expensive art supplies, then move along and keep your comments to yourself ✌️

I didn't write this...and I don't know who did, but I could have written every word.

May we all build a new table and make others feel welcome to pull up a chair.

I finally found my photo box, so here's a bunch of things I worked on this month.

Now on to the Holiday season!

Working on getting a proper "photo" area set up in my workshop, but I couldn't resist snapping a shot of these as I cleaned up the edges.

Since the kids couldn't go Trick-or-Treating in 2020, we did a Halloween Family Pajama Party. And my kids ended up loving it MORE than Trick-or-Treating, so I kept doing it!

This year, I made them each a cup to hold their "Witch's Brew" (juice) with this super cute fabric I found on sale, then added ribbon to the edges and sealed. It was so much fun to try a new technique and practice making multiples of the same thing :-)
