We had a great couple of weeks celebrating Nurse’s week and then Nursing Home week! Our residents had their annual fishing trip (I think they’ll talk us in to one or two more this year) and they beat the staff (AGAIN) in the annual Co****le/baseball game. We’re looking forward to a fun Summer!

Puget’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt! Everyone had a blast and our staff and residents loved watching the kiddos running around. The Easter Bunny made his rounds too! 🐰🥕

We had a triple reason to party today as we marked the birthdays of two of our team members - Sharon and Ashley - along with commemorating an incredible journey of 19 long years by our amazing Transportation Director, Crystal here at Puget!

Happy Social Worker’s week AND International Women’s Day to our amazing Social Services team, Rosie and Tess. We are so lucky to have these ladies on our team. They are so great at what they do and are a huge part of our success! Thank you for everything!

It’s National Activity Professional’s Week and we could not be more lucky and grateful for our Life Enrichment crew right here! Ron, Katie, and Vanessa are so dedicated to ensuring our residents (and staff) are engaged in fun and creative activities every day. They put a lot of time and heart into their department and it shows! From Bingo and yoga, to Elvis impersonators and Casino trips, they do it all. Thank you for all you do for our residents! 🎉🫶🏼

Last week we partnered with Assured Home Health & Hospice-Olympia to honor our Veterans. They were all individually announced and presented with certificates and pins. There was so much mutual respect in the room for one another, it was truly special to watch. Puget has 17 Veterans totaling a collective 133 years of service!
Thank you never seems like enough to show our gratitude for the sacrifices they made for all of us, but we really enjoyed honoring them together. 💙❤️🇺🇸

It was Decades Day at Puget today! Tomorrow is Black & Orange Day. We’re celebrating with a cookie contest judged by our Residents! The only thing we love more than a Spirit Week is a competition! Happy Halloween to all of our friends and family. 🎃👻

Our Annual Halloween Party was a blast, like usual! The residents, staff, and family members always love celebrating together. We do have quite the crew! ❤️👻🎃

We’ve met a lot of great students, staff and vendors today at South Puget Sound Community College’s career fair! We love networking with our community and recruiting for our building and CNA program! Stay tuned for more upcoming events.

We loved having Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland visit our center this week!

Emma (far right) is one of our amazing CNA Instructors at Puget! Today her students hit the floor for their first day of clinicals. This means they already completed the first half of the program which entails theory, exams, and labs!

We love having our own in-facility CNA program here! Emma and Michelle work really hard to ensure our CNA students get a thorough and rewarding training program that will set them up for success for both their State test and their future careers.

We have helped hundreds of students go through our program with 100% of their tuition covered. All aspects of the program are onsite at our center, we help with test preparation, and we’re even a state approved testing site. Study in the classroom where you will take your state test!

Whether you’re wanting to try something new or using it as a stepping stone to further your education and career, our CNA program is a great place to start! Starting at $20 an hour once you are in clinicals and $22 an hour once you’re licensed. Reach out to us to chat more about your options!

Today we celebrated the end of Summer break with a BBQ and some Co****le! Our residents love hanging out with staff and their families.

Caldera Care supplied all of our employee’s kids with backpacks and school supplies this year, so we were excited to hand those out today too!

We are so thankful to be a part of a company who genuinely cares about their employees and their families. ❤️ 🌭✏️🎒☀️

We had a fun (and hot 🥵) day at the fair today. We loved seeing the animals, cruising the shops, and eating all of the fair food! We have such a special group of residents and staff who genuinely care for each other. Can’t wait for next year! 🍦🎡🌭☀️🐖🐄🐓

To celebrate Certified Nursing Assistant Week, we wanted to introduce you to some of the amazing CNAs in the Caldera Care Community. Today we are featuring Ellen Czikall from our Puget Sound facility!

👋 Ellen Czikall is an evening/NOC CNA at our Puget Sound facility and just celebrated her 27th anniversary with us! She provides such great quality care to the residents and is always going above and beyond to make a difference for everyone around her. Thank you, Ellen, for your 27 years of incredible care and dedication to our residents and your role!

We are so fortunate to have the pleasure to work with so many dedicated, hardworking, and caring CNAs. From all of us at Caldera Care, thank you for all that you do!

Susan started as a CNA with us 9 years ago and worked her way through LPN school. She then worked as an LPN for us for several years before getting her RN. Today she graduated with her BSN from UW Tacoma. Susan is such a special nurse and we are so lucky to have her. We’re so proud of you Susan! Go Huskies! 💜💛

We’re celebrating our CNA Ellen’s 27th Anniversary at Puget! She’s the longest standing employee here and we could not be luckier to have her. She has been providing quality care to our residents since 1996! She is very loved by her residents, families, and co-workers. We’re keeping you forever Ellen! 🥰❤️

We’ve been a little quiet on here lately, but wanted to give a much deserved shoutout to our April co-Employees of the month! Donna and Tammy are the Resident Care Managers (nurse managers) here at Puget. They go above and beyond every day for our residents and our staff.

They are also our wound management specialists (with the assistance of our wonderful wound provider, Dr. Caleb) and they have collectively resolved and prevented hundreds of skin issues for residents and continue to innovate effective interventions to provide quality care! They are both amazing teammates, mentors, and nurses; Everyone needs a Donna and a Tammy!

Tonight we honored all 14 Puget Sound Healthcare residents who had Assured Hospice services for their end of life season this last year. We are very lucky to have such amazing support from Assured Hospice in our facility and also as a resource for residents who want to discharge home to be with family for their end of life.

We love taking care of our residents and we loved being able to show up for them tonight to honor and remember them all together. Thank you for inviting us to your Annual Memorial Service, Assured Home Health & Hospice-Olympia! ❤️❤️🌹🌹
