Thank you /Ian for the amazing 2 day class. Thank you for helping me reconnect with my love for massage, and remembering that sometimes less can be more, and stillness can be powerful. Thank you for all the positive vibes, reassuring words, and reminders to be playful and goofy. I hope to take many more classes from you in the future. 🦥 🙏
Shoulder mobility time!
Many of us spend too much time sitting at a desk (or on a couch) with our neck jutted out and our shoulders rolled forward and hunched. It's important to allow the shoulder joint to move the way it's meant to, helping your posture and keeping the muscles & fascia from locking up.
And remember, when life starts getting too much, you can always breathe deep and come back to yourself. Don't take anything too seriously.
I'll be offering Chair Massage again at my moms event. Stop on by!

Doing a nice stretch for the whole back then letting the arms come back down to neutral helps to bring the shoulders down from the ears. Sometimes all you need is some opposition stretching (pulling the opposite way from how the shoulders usually sit all day). 🧘💆
Working the neck while face down is a great way to work around each vertebrae without trying to keep the neck relaxed, and it just feels so good!
Just like says, and just like I always tell my clients, not everyone gets relief from the same thing. It can be important to branch out and try different options for pain relief/relaxation to find what works best for you! No one person or technique is better than another, and being open to different things can help you connect and heal your body more wholly.
Happy Holidays/Merry Christmas/Happy Kwanzaa/Happy Hanukkah! Whatever it is you celebrate (or don't) I hope you have a great next 2 days and remember to be kind, forgiving, and breathe deep!

Inquiring about a massage space.
Hello lovely Washington neighbors! Does anyone have or know anyone who has a massage space (or similar space) that I would be able to use at least 1 day a week? I am a new ...
The best way to keep your pain in check is with preventative care and self-care. This can look like many things: *stretching/deep breathing
*strengthening
*heat & ice/muscle rubs
*fixing posture
*massage
*acupressure
*etc, etc.
Whatever it is you do, it can be more beneficial to continue your care on a regular basis (every day/week/month, etc depending on your needs) and to try new options if needed to find what works best for your body. Don't forget your body and mind are interconnected and self-care can mean many different things, including reading a book, taking a walk, playing a game, meditating, anything that can help destress and refresh you. Stay hydrated
Stay active
Stay relaxed
Stay positive!

Got sciatic pain? It can feel like many things:
*Sharp pain into low back/glutes with pain sometimes going down the leg
*Burning pain
*Numbness into the low back/glutes and/or down the leg and sometimes into the feet
Massage can be an amazing tool to add to a journey of self-care to help manage and even eliminate pain! A massage from a licensed therapist can yield some great results! Some quick self-care ideas for this kind of pain include:
*Using heat and ice on the low back, glutes and even down to the knee and foot may help increase circulation/blood flow, letting the nerves relax (increments of 5-10 minutes each, alternating a few times if possible)
*Self massage into the piriformis muscle (where the sciatic nerve may get pinched and inflamed) and all the way down the front and back of the leg using a smaller squishy ball/tool(racket ball, foam roller, etc). There's plenty of YouTube videos for this
*Daily stretching all of the low back and hip/leg muscles (again, YouTube is your best friend)
You can call/text or message me for appointments and also book online through my social media pages or on my website. Have a good day and take care!!

What is this thing!? It may just be the release for your low back you've been looking for! The psoas muscle is a very powerful hip flexor (maybe the most powerful) and can get very tight and locked up in people, especially those who sit or stand for long periods of time. Working this muscle as well as the illiacus (which sits right on your ilium) can help to lengthen and turn off the pain signals in your mid to low back and hips!
Beat the traffic & rain, schedule your in-home massage session today! 💆♂️🐢
Benefits of massage:
*Reduce- stress/pains/headaches
*Improve- both sleep & energy/muscle recovery
*Mood enhancer 🧘
