I posted last night about the sports equipment. Had no clue that there would be this kind of response. I have got enough people responding that I’m going to take the post down. This weekend I am very busy getting ready for pictures the taken of our house to be listed. I will contact those interested later.

Anybody interested in some/any of the home school baseball or football equipment. We have our house up for sale and I don’t want to move it all. Otherwise, it’s going to goodwill. It’s free, but you’ll need to pick it up.

Football: youth football, full size footballs, Flags, Penny’s

As many of you know, I have retired from coaching. I was not able to find a replacement coach for Home School Baseball. So, we will not be having a season this year. Please look back in the fall for any update of Flag Football.

Well, it’s not looking very good for tomorrow. I’ll post in the morning ASAP with update. Unfortunately, if we cancel there is no more make up dates available for me.

I’ve got a pretty nasty cough and cold (not Covid, thank goodness). I’m going to cancel football for this Friday and re-schedule for November 4th. I’m sure I’ll feel much better then, and hopefully we will get better weather as well. Please let non-Facebook folks know. Thank you

Air quality is good today. Now we just have to deal with the rain. As long as it is just sprinkling we will play. If it starts raining hard we will quit. Hope to see you all there.

Two things we will need to watch for tomorrow. Air quality, and rain. If the air quality index in “unhealthy” we will not be playing sports outside. If we cancel, we will add on a week to the schedule. I’ll post in the morning.

Actually hoping to get a lot of rain tomorrow, so the air can be “cleaned”. Just not sure it will rain in time to clear it up

FALL FLAG FOOTBALL WILL BE STARTING A BIT LATER THIS YEAR. MY DAUGHTER IS GETTING MARRIED ON SEPTEMBER 10TH., SO WE WILL START AFTER THAT. FIRST WEEK WILL BE SEPTEMBER 16TH. THE FINAL WEEK WILL BE OCTOBER 28TH. WE WILL HAVE A WEEK OFF SOMETIME IN OCTOBER (AS I WILL BE HELPING MY DAUGHTER MOVE TO VIRGINIA). JUST NOT SURE ON WHAT DATE YET.
LIKE BASEBALL, THIS WILL BE MY FINAL SEASON COACHING FOOTBALL. I AM HOPING SOMEONE WILL TAKE OVER EITHER OR BOTH BASEBALL AND FOOTBALL. IF YOU KNOW OF ANYONE THAT WOULD BE WILLING TO TAKE OVER EITHER, PLEASE CONTACT ME PERSONALLY. I AM WILLING TO HELP GET BOTH UP AND RUNNING AND WILLING TO DONATE MUCH OF THE EQUIPTMENT I HAVE ACCUMULATED OVER THE YEARS.

There is no way the fields are going to be playable with the amount of rain we got today. Sorry to do this, but we’re going to have to cancel our last day. Unfortunately, we do not have anymore rain out days available. Please let any non Facebook people know.

With as much rain as we’ve had and the fact that it’s already raining this morning. 100% chance of rain during baseball. I’m going to cancel baseball today. We will have a make up day on June 10 th. We are not scheduled to meet next week, so hopefully see you all again in 2 weeks on the 20th.

I would like to invite all Olympia Home School "alumni" to come and participate/help me on Fridays. I am formally announcing that this will be my last year of coaching the baseball program. It would be a blessing to see and hang out with all of our past players. It has been amazing 23 years (that's a conservative guess).

Baseball dates for spring of 2022
April 8th, 15th, 29th
May 6th, 20th
June 3rd
June 10th make-up date (if necessary)

Register on the first day that you can make it. Please read the “About” section if you are new to our program, as that will answer many questions.
There are quite a few breaks this year, because of planned travel and Memorial Day weekend.

Football is cancelled today. I’m going to assume the field is in bad shape. Also, I’m sure there won’t be that many people who will show up. Please let anyone not on FB know.

At this point I really doubt we’re going to be able to play tomorrow. As much as it has rained already, plus it’s suppose to rain until tomorrow afternoon. Unless something changes pretty soon, we’ll plan on meeting the following Friday for the final time. Stay dry!

We will be meeting this Friday, even if the fields are still really wet. I think at this point, we're not going to get much better weather. I'm personally going to be wearing rubber boots.

Football is cancelled. Most of the field is unplayable. Don’t want to tear it up or get anybody hurt.

Does anybody live close to Wonderwood Park and would be willing to go check out the field condition?

Olympia Home School Sports updated their info in the about section.

I was not able to find any mouth guards in the price range that I normally get them at. So, your on your own to get mouth guards this year. They are not required, but highly recommended.

I’m feeling much better and only have through the weekend to quarantine. Here is the updated schedule for flag football. We will first meet on October 1st and go three weeks. So 1st., 8th, and 15th. We will then meet Oct. 29th,Nov. 5th and November 12th.
October 22nd will be an off day or a make-up day for the first 3 weeks (if there is a cancellation due to weather).

Very sorry to inform everyone that I (Coach Keesee) just tested positive for Covid 19. I only have a mild cough and a runny nose. We will have to delay the start of football for two weeks. Again, i'm sorry. Please let all the non Facebook folks you know. See you all in two weeks.

Here are the dates for this years Flag Football. We will meet Sept. 17 & 24, Oct. 8th. 15th. and 29th. and November 5th. October 1st. & 22nd. will be make up days. Football and Baseball will now be 6 weeks long.

9:30- 10:30 younger group
10:30-11:30 older group

Looks like some great weather tomorrow. Everyone should wear a baseball hat to keep the sun off.

Also, I’m going to need extra help tomorrow if I feel anything like I feel right now. Second Covid shot has made me tired and sore.

I’ll need 2-3 adults to help with batting drills and a few intermediate kids to hold hit sticks. The little ones can’t hold them. Nolan and Blaine can help out where needed too.
