To induce vomiting on your dog. 1 teaspoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide per 10 pounds of body weight directly into their mouth. They won't like it and their mouth may foam. Head to the vet immediately. 💔 It's been six years since our dog died from xylitol poisoning. I wish I had this knowledge back then. May it help you.

This is a dropped packet of Trident Gum with about 10 pieces scattered everywhere (yes I picked it all up). I was walking in my community with our dog when we stumbled upon it. I am glad she's not a hoover like Beetle was or we'd be dealing with this again. You have to keep your eyes OPEN and be aware even when out getting fresh air.

5 years ago our puppy Beetle died after eating a few pieces of trident gum. It's dog lethal ingredient xylitol, to this day, still makes me stiffen up. If your dog eats any product with xylitol, induce vomiting at home immediately and rush to nearest vet office that has emergency services.

I dreamed I was looking at trident gum ingredients for xylitol. I didn't find any but it didn't feel real. Then I woke up. Keep spreading the word about its dangers. Xylitol poisoning is a true threat to your dog.

I bought some sugar-free pudding by mistake. I didn't overthink it and my kids ate some and left out the empty container on the coffee table (like most kids would). Later in the week I was shocked to discover it had xylitol. I threw out the rest and calmly told myself to be more careful when shopping. What a close encounter our dog had. Always be aware!

With Christmas near and stockings to be stuffed remember to check gum ingredients for xylitol! Have a safe holiday and hugs your critters tight.

When I see new "likes" this to page it makes me heartbroken knowing it's likely someone has newly lost their dog to xylitol. Both my sister in law and a good friend have had close calls with their dogs eating this gum. It doesn't matter how careful you are it finds it's way to your dog if you have it somewhere in your possession (Nowhere is safe. Not your car, not high cupboards, not bags).
