Starting today!

A different movie every single day this week? Some say it's possible

Run Lola Run screens this Wednesday as part of our Reel Oddities series. The cult classic is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a brand new 4K restoration! Experience the adrenaline rush of a movie as it was meant to be seen - big and loud. "A film of nonstop motion and visual invention," raved our dear old pal Roger Ebert 🏃‍♀️

Our final screening! A modern twist on the buddy comedy from a q***r and trans perspective, Noah Schamus’ debut feature Summer Solstice is a celebration of friendship, resilience, and coming of age again. 🍷

A new 4K restoration of Seven Samurai arrives at OFS! One of the most thrilling movie epics of all time, Akira Kurosawa's film tells the story of a sixteenth-century village whose desperate inhabitants hire the eponymous warriors to protect them from invading bandits.

Corpses, Fools, and Monsters: A Trans Film Fest begins this Friday. Curated by authors Caden Mark Gardner and Willow Catelyn Maclay, this weekend of movies dives deep into the history of trans representation in film. Our friends at Orca Books Co-op will be selling copies of Gardner and Maclay's book, Corpses, Fools, and Monsters: The History and Future of Transness in Cinema before select screenings. Olympia Timberland Library patrons can purchase tickets at OFS Member prices 📚

One of the most beloved animated films of all-time returns to the Capitol Theater on Sunday. “Imagine E.T. as a towering metal man, and you have some of the appeal of The Iron Giant, an enchanting animated feature about a boy who makes friends with a robot from outer space," said Roger Ebert. Kids 12 and under receive free admission! 🤖
