This was our week, traveled to the north side of Chicago area. Cleaned up a floor while while checking out the area. Nothing like a working vacation!

This week we installed and finished an office for a repeat customer. Third time that we have worked here in 2 years. Now their main floor is all wood except for the laundry room. Next phase maybe some stairs!?!? So YES we can break up jobs to either make it convenient moving furniture or to make it easier on the pocketbook.

Today we added some engineered prefinished to this office for another repeat customer. We went ahead and spiked it into the existing to make the house flow.

This one we did last week which is a continuation from previous work done a few weeks ago. We repaired some water damaged engineered maple floors and the customer liked the lighter colors the maple presented after being sanded. Killed the yellow and updated to a blonde/toupe color.

Two condos here in the same building. 1st one, we had to replace some water damaged engineered maple. We sanded and she decided to go water based natural and knock down that amber tone. 2nd one, was recoating a few areas that got scratched. This is a condo I worked on in 2020. It's an absolute pleasure to have returning customers!

So this here was a big transformation in a small area! The customers did all of the tear out and prepping of the subfloor. We came in and installed some Red Oak Herringbone and stained it to match existing floors that I worked on in 2020. They called my personal cell phone after learning that Mark David Floors had closed to see if I was still doing floors. Check out the last couple pictures, they are some pine we stained last time. Look at how well they held up for being stained dark on such a soft floor!!! ProCoat Titan 2k and no shoes in the house!!!

My son and I got to assist placing flags on our veterans headstones at Omaha National Cemetery this morning. Please take some time to honor and remember those that gave their all for our freedoms.

Happy Friday folks!! This is a Bruce engineered Maple floor installed by years ago. It was damaged when a new fridge was being delivered so we sanded it down, cleaned it up and finished with 4 coats of H2Oil Satin with some aluminum oxide additive. First 3 pics are before, last 2 are after 3rd coat.

Everyone loves Ash! Here we have a little bit of everything going on this project. Sanding 3’x3’ parquet ash panels with some patch work here and there. Installing some 3.25” ash in the lower living room with a 10’ step. Let’s see what we do for color

Small jobs or repairs might not look like much but it means everything to the homeowners. The first picture we spot sanded a damaged area for them to sell their house. The other 2 pictures are of a bedroom where we installed some owner provided LVP. Big or small, we always enjoy the end when the owners admire the change!!

Check out this staircase with their new metal spindles!!! We had to wait for the spindles to get delivered but worked out perfectly with our schedule.

Well here we go again sounding like a broken record!! Another repeat customer adding wood to their Dining room this week so we laced it into the entry so it all looked original.
