Veterans Business Outreach Center - IA & NE
VBOC IA & NE is hosted by The Nebraska Enterprise Fund (NEF).
We provide program and services to veterans, service members, National Guard and Reserve members, military spouses, and family members to start, grow and expand their small business.
We celebrate freedom, resilience and entrepreneurship spirit at VBOC.
On , we honor the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and the struggles they overcame. We, at VBOC, are committed to supporting and empowering veteran/ military connected African American/ black owned businesses.
For the Juneteenth celebrations, VBOC collaborated with incredible clients and partners such as:
Military Outcasts, a clothing brand by William Page who designed the Juneteenth t-shirt( https://militaryoutcasts.com)
William Page IV, Chief Executive Officer, of DAP Trucking - who was part of the Juneteenth advisory committee ( https://daptruck.com)
Julian Ivey , digital marketing specialist, who was also part of our Juneteenth advisory committee (https://boyga.com/)
Blaize Hospitality and Design, who fueled our Juneteenth celebrations with soul food; and,
Vivid Images who printed the t-shirt that we wore with pride.
Together we are building a supportive community and providing resources, training and business counseling to help their business thrive.
Join us in celebrating Juneteenth and let's continue to support and uplift each other to create an equitable future for all.
Our Juneteenth celebrations kicked off with a powerful training session on the significance of this historic day. We then embarked on a scavenger hunt to uncover the rich history and contributions of the African American community in Omaha.
The energy continued with the Juneteenth parade, filled with music, dance, and cultural expression. Our grand finale featured a panel discussion highlighting the achievements and insights of African American business owners in Nebraska as well with music from Enjoli & Timeless and cuisine from Big Mama's Kitchen And Catering.
We work with multiple resource partners within the small business ecosystem and Nebraska Business Development Center is one of them.
We share a collective mission to help small businesses thrive!
📍We have consultants located across Nebraska to ensure anyone can access our no-cost business services.
💻 We also know it can sometimes be tough to make it to one of our offices. That's why we also offer virtual consultations.
Today and every day, we honor and celebrate the brave women who have served our country. Women's Veterans Day marks the anniversary of the signing of the 1948 Women's Armed Services Integration Act, which allowed women to serve as permanent members of the US military.
At VBOC, we are proud to support women veterans in their entrepreneurial journeys. We recognize the unique challenges and opportunities that come with being a female veteran and entrepreneur.
To our women veteran clients - thank you for your service and sacrifice. We are honored to work alongside you and support your business goals.
